August - Songwriting workshops for all ages.

This summer I am offering a 4 hours songwriting workshops, either for individuals or groups up to 4 people. You will write and record a song in my studio - the result being a downloadable track of your recorded song which could be put on to Soundcloud etc.

Questions you may asking yourself…….

Q1. I’m keen to write a song but not sure how to go about it?
Answer - I have many years of experience of writing songs and will be able to give you some tips ,suggestions and help, to get you over the finish line.

Q2.I want to record a song that I’ve been working on and need some/ additional instrumentation but I play a very small amount - how can you help?
Answer - I can help. I play a few different musical instruments and together we could get the sound you’re looking for. If I can’t play it I know a few musicians who will be able to…..

Q3.I want to write a dance track but I don’t want to sing on it.
Answer - That’s not a problem, you can just write an instrumental track.

Q4 How do I get inspired to even start a song?
Answer - A good place to start is to either think of a situation or circumstance that you want to talk/sing about and start writing about it/ developing it.
Try listening to your favourite songs and try to get a feel for how those songs may influence you and your song.

Q5. What else so I get from this process - whilst writing and recording a song?
Answer -
Learning how to approach/ process of writing a song - the structure of a song, different types of melodies forms, writing lyrics……
You will gain a better understanding on what the recording process is.
