🚨 We're supporting the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary's Spiking Awareness Campaign to help raise awareness of drink spiking and keep our community safe.

Drink spiking is a crime. This campaign aims to educate people about the signs of spiking, challenge common myths, promote active bystander intervention, and share practical prevention advice. If you think you or someone else may have been spiked, report it as soon as possible to venue staff, security, and the police. You can report incidents online via www.hampshire.police.uk, call 101 for non-emergencies, or 999 in an emergency.

If you are concerned about spiking, have been affected by an incident, or simply need someone to talk to, the University of Wi******er's Student Support and Success teams are here to help. We're here to listen and connect you with the right support.

🚧⚠Criminals impersonate Student Finance / SLC to try and steal YOUR personal information AND money. ⚠🚧
They text💬, email 📩or call 📲 claiming there is an issue with an upcoming payment that needs urgent action. This is more common around times when we make student loan payments in September, January and April.

Student Finance / SLC will never:
• ask students to provide personal or financial information by email or text message.
• send a message with an urgent deadline for example ‘failure to respond in 24 hours will result in your account being closed’.

Take control of your online presence and refrain from sharing sensitive information, including your name, date of birth, customer reference number, course details, and current or previous addresses, as this can be exploited by criminals to impersonate you. 💪

Reporting suspicious Student Finance messages

Scam text messages can be forwarded free of charge to 7726.
