3D shape aliens 👽 When learning is hands on, and 3D shapes are created from a seemingly flat piece of paper, then transformed into an actual 3 dimensional object, it all makes a lot more sense.

How was that weather so perfectly timed! 🌸🌻☀️🌻☀️🌸
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week with your families.
As you turn your attention to the next half term, have a think about whether your child would benefit from some confidence boosting in English Maths or Science.

Give me a shout if I can help. 🥰😊🍎

This term I have worked with 14 superstar learners in Years 2 through to 7, from 5 different schools. We work face to face and 1:1 with each lesson as unique as they are. I also support home educated children and those with special needs who receive a bespoke education package.
Next term I currently have one space available, which I’m sure will be snapped up quickly, but do get in touch if you would like to go on the waiting list.

Even as a primary school teacher, I hadn't heard of until about 8-10 years ago. One of my children has been diagnosed with it and I was shocked to discover that even with a formal diagnosis, young people are still required to pass maths GCSE to progress to higher education.

Dyscalculia is a neurodivergent condition that not many people know about. Sending love to those with Dyscalculia.

🌸I'm not sure when it started, but there seems to be blossom everywhere today. Almost like the hawthorn and magnolia know it's 1st March!

🐣Only 3 weeks until Easter holidays and then the summer term runs away with us all!

🍎If your child needs a confidence boost or some consolidation before the end of this academic year, do get in touch. Jess x

Really interesting podcast episode on Dyscalculia courtesy of BBC Wales. So excited whenever I see increased coverage and discussion around Dyscalculia - sometimes known as 'number blindness' or 'maths dyslexia' - a lifelong, congenital neurodiversity that is often masked by about 4 million adults and children in the UK.

Documentary exploring the learning disability dyscalculia.
