Felicity or FLISS as sheβs known to her Oaklands family brings experience from both EYFS and school settings working with children with SEND. She has worked with us in Oaklands since January. When Fliss isnβt at her allotment doing allotmenty things sheβs in the kitchen cooking with her home grown produce. π₯¬π₯

Amanda has been part of the Oaklands family since January and brings a wealth of experience working with children with SEND. Amanda has a passion for providing children with tools to communicate and has completed her level one in BSL. Amanda is super creative and can often be found at the colouring table π .

Liz is our newest recruit and already very much part of the Oaklands family. She has worked in childcare for over 20 years and has a great understanding of children with SEND you can find Liz exploring new places in her motor home and making lots of noise as she learns to play the saxophone π·
Who doesnβt love ice cream on a rainy day π¦
After exploring the grounds at Sudeley castle and learning some History about where we live we went back to the mini bus for some well deserved ice cream in to hide from the rain π§οΈ
Bushcraft is vital for children as it fosters resilience, self-confidence, and independence by teaching practical survival skills like fire lighting, shelter building, and foraging. It boosts physical health, mental well-being, and environmental awareness while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and a deep, lasting connection to nature. π³πβ€οΈ
W A T E R P L A Y
is essential for children because it provides calming sensory input, improves motor skills, and fosters social interaction in a low-stress environment. The consistent, gentle pressure of water helps regulate sensory processing difficulties, while activities like pouring and swimming boost coordination and focus. ππ³π¦
