It was another morning of celebration, this time for our Year 11 students who received their GCSE results today. The students have worked incredibly hard throughout their time at the school and it was wonderful to celebrate their successes. Congratulations to them all and we wish them well on whatever next path they choose to take next.

We were proud to celebrate this year’s A Level results with our students this morning, and are delighted by our students’ outstanding grades, which are a true reflection of their hard work and determination. Whether heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, or stepping into their careers, we know they're going to do amazing things. Congratulations to all our students! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

Our Jack Petchey winners Noel, Lillie-May, Lewis, Nathan, Grace, Jayden, Nathan and our very own Miss Clarke are pictured receiving their awards at a ceremony held in Chelmsford on Monday evening. Congratulations to them all.

A huge thank you to all the students who have taken Teddy, our MFL class mascot, on so many exciting and memorable adventures this year. It has been a real pleasure to read Teddy’s journal entries and discover everything he has experienced.
Teddy has attended birthday parties, visited restaurants, joined martial arts and dance classes, gone on sleepovers, visited the swimming pool, cinema and theatre, enjoyed shopping trips, met exotic animals, exercised at the gym and spent time at the park. He has certainly had a very busy and enjoyable year!
This project has given students a fun and creative way to develop all four language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. Every student is welcome to take part, regardless of their level of confidence. Taking Teddy home, sharing an adventure and writing about it is a wonderful opportunity to practise using the language outside the classroom.
We know that many more exciting adventures will be waiting for Teddy next year, and we look forward to welcoming even more students to join in.

Year 12 completed their Insight into Management course last week, and it was a great success! Well done to everyone who took part, and a special congratulations to Team F for winning the business game.

We want to extend a massive thank you to our volunteer team leaders—Sarah, Fred, Jack, Evie, Toby and Kassia for giving up their time to support our students. Thanks also go to all the teachers involved, including those who volunteered for 'Sponge the Teacher' to raise money for next year's summer ball, Mrs Macdonald for running the business game so brilliantly, Mr Cooper for the fantastic BBQ as well as to Lucy from UEA who gave a talk on UCAS/Personal Statement writing. A true team effort!

This time last week! What an amazing Year 11 prom at Hylands House.

We are looking forward to welcoming back year 11 students tomorrow and Wednesday for their sixth form induction days. The day starts at 8.45am in the Dance Studio.

As another heatwave is forecast, students will be allowed to come in wearing their PE kits next week.
