Here's the winning photo from the Wincanton Camera Club's display held in Wincanton Library during the summer.
The winner was 'Red Squirrel' photographed by Paul Dyer.
In second place was Roger Lush’s “Sugaring the strawberry”.
There were 41 prints displayed and 392 votes cast with every print receiving at least one vote.
New members are always welcome to join our club. If anyone wants to just turn up and have a look at what we do then they are welcome too. We meet every other Wednesday at Wincanton Memorial Hall 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Our programme of events is up on our website at http://www.wincantoncameraclub.co.uk/Programme.htm

Fancy helping to set a new world record?!!

On Thursday 8 October, 9am-9pm, join the National Literacy Trust in helping to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people reading online in 12 hours.

Together with the British Council, they're bringing readers from around the world together for one huge, shared reading moment.
It’s part of the Take 10 to Read campaign in the National Year of Reading.

Join an online session with authors and influencers, take 10 minutes to read, and help make history.

October is Somerset Flood Awareness month.
You are welcome to pop into Wincanton Library on Tuesday 13th October from 10am-1.30pm for information and advice for being prepared for a flood, staying safe in floods and recovery and resilience.
