We are excited to see all our families tomorrow for our Harvest Celebration. The children enjoyed on Friday exploring our Di**le Dangle Scarecrow tuff tray. They played with the farm, acted out like scarecrows and danced to the song. We will see everyone on Monday 19th October at 11am.

The children have enjoyed exploring our hedgehog hospital role play this week. The children took turns looking after the poorly hedgehogs. The children used the preschool check list to see what was wrong with the hedgehogs, working together with their friends, using different pipettes to feed them pretending it was medicine.

The children have loved listening to the new Julia Donaldson story Gruffalo Granny this week. They helped Caroline tell the story using puppets and props. We love story time at The Lantern Preschool, encouraging the children to tell us all their favourite stories.

The children enjoyed being great bakers this week, taking turns mixing and weighing different items. We all talked about what things you need to bake a cake. They all enjoyed pretending to bake and then serve the items to their friends in the coffee shop.

What a great week we have had in our Construction Site role play area. The children have enjoyed dressing up, using and learning all about different tools and diggers. The children have loved using their imagination to build houses, garages and castles with their peers.

We have had a great first couple of weeks back after the summer holidays. We have had lots of new children start with us who have settled in amazingly. We have had fun getting know them, their families, and the children's likes and dislikes. So many children have said how they love baking. So we created a fun kitchen roleplay, where the children can bake and make picnics with their new friends.
