We had a fantastic time hosting our local Primary Schools Performing Arts Day at Castle Court! We were delighted to welcome pupils from Springdale First School, Henbury View and Wimborne First School for a fun-filled day of creativity, collaboration and performance.

The children took part in a full day of exciting activities, developing their skills, building confidence and making new friends along the way. The day culminated in a special performance for parents, giving everyone the opportunity to showcase what they had learnt and celebrate their talents.

We were so impressed by the enthusiasm, confidence and impeccable manners of all the pupils. They were wonderful ambassadors for their schools, and it was a pleasure to see so many young performers come together to share their love of the performing arts.

A huge thank you to all the schools, staff and families who helped make the day such a success. We look forward to welcoming you all back again!

As another busy week comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who makes Castle Court such a special place.

The last few weeks have seen World Teachers’ Day and Thank a TA Day, but we know it takes a whole team to make a school tick. From teachers and TAs to bus drivers, cleaners, kitchen staff, admin and everyone in between, every single person matters.

So, to mark World Mental Health Day, everyone received a cupcake and a little thank you note.

Hopefully, a chance to take five minutes, enjoy some cake and know just how much they are appreciated.

Using every moment of the day as a learning journey!

Our youngest pupils were so excited to head down and watch the diggers and rollers working on our new road. There were cheers for every toot of the roller, and even more excitement when the children had the chance to sit inside!

The workers Dorset Council UK kindly gave the children stickers and colouring sheets, and took the time to answer all their curious questions. A wonderful hands-on learning experience, and such a fun moment for everyone involved!

The main road to school will be closed tomorrow between 9am and 4pm for a Dorset Council upgrade – but our matches will go on!

Thanks to some wonderful cooperation from our neighbours, who are allowing us to park minibuses on their land, teams will be heading out to Bryanston, Walhampton and Dumpton, ensuring that children from Year 5 to Year 8 can still enjoy their mid-week matches and tournaments.

A particular thank you to Dumpton, who are hosting more fixtures than usual tomorrow. By working collaboratively, we’ve been able to make sure that the children across both our schools can enjoy a full afternoon of sport.

And as for the road, while the work may mean a change to our plans for a day, it will leave the lane to school safer, wider and clearer as the winter months approach. A little short-term disruption for a very welcome long-term improvement!

Year 6 out in the field!

A beautiful morning of Geography and Science fieldwork at the River Allen. Pupils investigated how rivers change downstream, exploring width, depth, velocity, bedload, habitats and species diversity.

They also met the Estate Manager of Moor Crichel Estate, learning more about the importance of rare chalk streams.

Well done, Year 6, for being such enthusiastic learners and wonderful ambassadors for Castle Court!
