We’re delighted to welcome families to our Autumn Open Week at Dumpton from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October 2026.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Dumpton School has been commended as Independent Pre-Prep of the Year in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2026.

This recognition is a testament to the passion, dedication and care of our exceptional staff, the enthusiasm of our wonderful pupils, and the unwavering support of our families and wider school community.

What a wonderful Speech Day celebration at Dumpton. We recognised the achievements, growth, and talents of our pupils, and we couldn’t be prouder of all they have accomplished.

A very special thank you to our guest speaker, whose inspiring words encouraged our pupils to embrace every opportunity, be courageous, and continue striving for excellence. We are grateful for your time and for making this occasion even more memorable.

Thank you to our families, staff, and school community for joining us in celebrating another fantastic year. We hope you all enjoyed the fabulous family afternoon organised by Dumpton Friends.

A special mention goes to our Year 8 pupils as they prepare to leave us and begin the next chapter of their educational journey. We wish you the very best of luck and every success in your new schools. We know you will achieve great things and will always remain a valued part of our school family.

It was a proud moment for Dumpton — our first ever nomination for the TES Awards’ Independent Prep School of the Year. Headmaster Christian Saenger and his Senior Leadership Team travelled to London for the ceremony, joining 1,200 educators from across the state and independent sectors.
While the award went elsewhere this year, being shortlisted among some of the finest prep schools in the country was a real honour — and we were proud to be the only school representing the South West on that list.
For us, this is what ‘Aim High’ looks like in practice: striving for the best, supported by a wonderful staff team and thoughtful leadership. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who helps make Dumpton the school it is.

A huge gracias to our wonderful catering team for making our Year 8 Leaving Supper so special with a fantastic Spanish-themed evening 🇪🇸✨

From the delicious food to the vibrant atmosphere, every detail helped create a memorable celebration for our Year 8 pupils as they marked the end of this chapter together. Thank you for all the hard work, care and creativity that went into such a lovely event — it was thoroughly enjoyed by all! 💛
