🚣‍♀️ Rowing: a shared resource, a unique opportunity
Our rowing club offers an incredible opportunity for Dumpton pupils to visit Canford School to experience a sport that builds teamwork, resilience, discipline and confidence.

With access to shared facilities and with the guidance of expert coaches, pupils can develop new skills, challenge themselves and discover the rewards of working together towards a common goal.

Whether taking their first strokes or developing their technique, rowing opens up a world of opportunity - both on and off the water.

A fantastic sport. Exceptional coaching. An opportunity for everyone to discover their potential.

What a fantastic day for our brilliant Year 8 debaters Bryanston School Mini Model United Nations!

We are incredibly proud of the team, who achieved an amazing 3rd place overall, competing against 18 other schools.

Even more impressively, our students were awarded Commended or Highly Commended in every category — a fantastic reflection of their preparation, confidence, teamwork and debating skills.

A huge well done to all of our Year 8 students for representing the school so brilliantly!

🏔️ Year 8 Leadership Trip – What an adventure! 🌿

What an incredible leadership experience for our Year 8 pupils! From mountain climbing and gorge walking to bouldering, abseiling, orienteering and caving, they embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, resilience and determination.

Throughout the trip, pupils worked collaboratively, supported one another and reflected on their own personal leadership styles. Each evening, they recorded their progress in their diaries, taking time to celebrate achievements and consider what they had learned.

There was plenty of responsibility back at the centre, too! From cleaning and tidying to packing away equipment, pupils played their part in keeping everything running smoothly. They also took on the role of mindful global citizens by weighing and reporting food waste at every meal, showing fantastic awareness of their environmental impact. 🌍♻️ Daily weather reports kept everyone informed and ready for the adventures ahead!

Of course, there was plenty of fun along the way, with games of pool and table football, a popular tuck shop and the much-anticipated disco! 🎱🎶

We are so proud of the way our Year 8s challenged themselves, worked as a team and made memories that will last a lifetime. What a fantastic adventure! 🙌

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing school catering team!

They’ve been serving up absolutely brilliant match teas for the parents and honestly, we’re not sure what’s more impressive: the games on the pitch or the food on the table!

The match tea has become so good that some parents are now questioning whether they’re here to watch the match or just waiting for the food!

Thank you for keeping us all very well fed and very happy.

enjoyed a fascinating visit to Kimmeridge Bay, where they learned about the rocky shore ecosystem during an engaging talk from the Dorset Wildlife Trust at the Wild Seas Centre.

The pupils then explored the incredible and biodiverse shoreline, discovering the wealth of marine life it supports while also collecting a shocking amount of plastic pollution along the way.

It was a fantastic trip, with Year 7 showing plenty of curiosity, enthusiasm and care for the natural environment. A big thank you to the Wildlife Trust for helping to make the day so interesting and memorable!
