Badgers Class Russell Cotes Museum trip! 🏛️

We stepped right into Victorian times, trying on clothing and practising our best manners—the girls perfected their curtsies while the boys tipped their top hats at visitors in the museum, and honestly, it was absolutely delightful to witness! 🎩👑

We wandered through rooms filled with treasures, from artefacts in the drawing room to fascinating discussions about the pier from a beautiful window. The children were genuinely shocked to learn how scratchy Victorian swimwear was! 🏖️ We explored souvenirs, discovered entertainment from days gone by, and even created our own keepsakes in the gallery. 🎨

School's out for the Summer! ☀

What a lovely week we have had to end our amazing academic year at Witchampton First School! 💙

On Monday, we had an exciting whole school disco organised by our amazing Friends of Witchampton School-PTA in our school hall! 🪩

On Tuesday, we had our Leavers Service in the Church to say goodbye and good luck to our fantastic Year 4's who are moving onto their middle schools in September! ⛪

On Wednesday, we enjoyed a final day in school, making memories in our classes before the Summer Holidays! ☀

We wish all our school families an enjoyable break filled with fun, relaxation, and wonderful memories together. Whether you're exploring new places, enjoying quiet moments at home, or anything in between, we can't wait to hear all about it when we return in September! 📚✨ Have a fantastic summer!

🐦‍⬛ Schoolchildren from Witchampton First School’s eco team gave a presentation to pupils at St John’s First School in June all about the common swift, as the birds have recently returned to nest in Wimborne Minster, having completed a 6,000-mile journey from Africa to breed in the UK.

What an incredible few days our Y4 adventurers have had! 🏕️ They packed their bags and headed to Leeson House for a residential trip that was absolutely packed with fun ✨

The trip was filled with stunning coastal walks 🥾 where the children explored Dancing Ledge and the beautiful Studland Beach. But that's not all—there was an evening of team games and fire building 🔥 that had everyone working together and having a brilliant time!

One of the highlights? Creating sandcastle sculptures inspired by the iconic Old Harry Rocks 🏰

Our Y4 children embodied our Church values throughout the entire trip of Love, Inspiration and Courage ⭐ We are all very proud of them 💪

What a day the Hedgehogs had yesterday at Launceston Farm! 🦔

Hedgehogs were busy pond dipping, feeding the pigs and making bread, which they got to take home, and learning about different grains and meats on the farm 🍞 🐷

The children were absolutely wonderful—polite, curious, and so resilient despite the heat. They asked thoughtful questions, answered with enthusiasm, and showed such amazing teamwork. You should be so proud! 💪 The photos tell the whole story of their hard work and joy today 💙

Sports Day 2026! 🥇

Such a fun day in the sun to celebrate our annual Sports Day Event!
This year, we were joined by the play leaders from Allenbourn Middle School and Mr Williams, who were amazing and helpful! 🥰
We are so proud of the children's resilience and courage this year, showing their Witchampton Values! Everyone had a go at something, which was great to see! 💙

Thank you everyone who was able to come and support the children and those of you who showed your courage by partaking yourselves!

Bonjour! 🇫🇷 What a magnificent day we had celebrating all things French! Our Foxes class came dressed in their finest red, white, and blue, and their enthusiasm was absolutely contagious. 🦊✨

Our class role played a French Cafe experience, crafting amazing menus and tasting delicious foods! In the afternoon, we used our knowledge of Georges Seurat's Pointillism technique and created our own version of his Eiffel Tower painting! 🖼

C'est magnifique! 🇫🇷

What a magical morning we had Wednesday! 🌿

Our whole school ventured to the White House in Witchampton village for a day absolutely bursting with nature-based adventures. We made art with inspiration from the great outdoors 🎨, hunted for matching colours hidden in nature 🌈, conducted a biodiversity survey like real scientists 🔬, tracked down birds on an exciting treasure hunt 🐦, and got our hands wet with some brilliant pond dipping 💧. The children were absolutely wonderful—engaged, attentive, and walking sensibly along the road. A huge thank you to our amazing parent helpers and the fantastic team at the White House who made this incredible day possible! 🙌
