October's home ed club was filled with chatter, songs, games, doodle art and food!

What a lucky encounter.

🤩Wonderful learning from all of my brilliant home ed pupils today.

We learnt a formal written method for addition, saw some fantastic phonics, continued character and story building, saw some beautiful handwriting, revised converting fractions and decimals plus applied our knowledge to worded questions, learnt about the word 'multiple' and found common multiples.

We are celebrating this fantastic learning from my last superstar of the day.

🧠She started with a game of genius square - a fantastic game for neurodivergence support, which focuses on spatial awareness, problem solving, speed of thought, focus and concentration, confidence and resilience.

🔢In maths, we worked on applying maths knowledge to worded problems and ensured we wrote clear workings.

🔤We created a spelling card focused on 'qu' /kw/ words and undertook a short burst write where we centered our learning around vocabulary and sentence structure.

There's nothing like making yourself comfortable while your mum is busy working!

🍂🐾We love our morning walks. It has a very autumnal feel to it today - dew on the grass, fog in the air and spider's webs everywhere. 🕸🕷

Fabulous maths 1:1 with this superstar. We ended up off plan as she showed a big interest in how a multiplication square works. I was very proud that she managed to complete the entire blank one by the end of her session.

We went 'out out' to see the fantastic and highly amusing Mark Simmons plus the best support act, Danny Ward (for the third time!). We had such a great evening - Mark really is the king of one liners and word play!
