SEWING SUPERSTARS! 🪡
This week, Year 2 have created hand puppets! The children decorated felt front and back templates using glue or stitching to add embellishments, before sewing around the the outside using running or overstitch. See photos of our creations below!

On Monday Owl's class were so excited to finally go on their trip to the Ancient Technology Centre in Cranborne. They spent the day doing activities that helped them to experience a little of what life was like for the early humans of the Stone, Bronze and Iron age. From using axes, weaving fences and making clothing items they all had a great time. Our day was wrapped up with a story around the campfire which everyone enjoyed. Well done to the children for their great engagement! :)

Mice Class had a lovely morning at the Museum of East Dorset!
The children learnt all about life in Victorian times and enjoyed taking part in a range of exciting activities. They made and tasted their own lemonade, created and decorated peg dolls, washed clothes just like Victorian children, and had lots of fun playing traditional garden games. Mice Class represented the school beautifully throughout the trip, showing excellent listening skills and enthusiasm. Well done, Mice Class!

🏅 What a fantastic Sports Week! 🛴⚽️🏏⛳️

The children in Year 2 had a wonderful time taking part in scooter activities, football rounders, cricket and crazy golf, before rounding off the week with a brilliant Sports Day! It was great to see so much enthusiasm, teamwork and fun throughout the week. Well done, Year 2! 🌟

For Sports Week this week, in Reception, the children really enjoyed our active Maths learning! We combined practicing our throwing skills along with practicing our addition skills. The children did a great job at writing addition number sentences.

This week we have had lots of fun at our 'Little Caterpillar Sports Afternoon'🐛😊☀️ The children had lots of fun with their families exploring a selection of activities such as egg and spoon, bean bag throwing, balance the bean bag on their head, mini hurdles and dribbling the football around the cones. We even had our very own set of mini races! It was sportastic! ⚽🎊

Sports Day Practise

Our Year 2 children have been busy preparing for Sports Day and are showing great enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
We are really looking forward to welcoming families and friends this Friday to cheer them on and celebrate their efforts. It’s always such a special day! 🎉
