Based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, our Clubs are packed with confidence-building fun, outdoor adventures, creative crafts, and memory-making magic for the school holidays. We design every day with a wide range of interests in mind - so whether your child is a den builder, budding baker, sports lover or big-time gamer, they’ll feel right at home.

Bringing siblings to the same Holiday Club doesn’t mean expecting them to spend the whole day together 💛

Sometimes having a brother or sister there is exactly the reassurance a child needs. A familiar face to arrive with, sit beside or find when they need them.

But we also help siblings branch out.

Our Crew get to know children as individuals, help them find activities they enjoy, introduce them to other children and give them the confidence to make their own choices, whether that means spending time with their sibling or heading off in completely different directions.

And because we welcome different ages under one roof, we can adapt the experience too, from extra support and space for our littlest children to more independence and challenge as they get older.

We’re seeing a bit of a pattern here… 🤗

Sad because they can’t go to Holiday Club. Asking to come every day. Not wanting to be picked up early. Wanting to come back next holidays…

We’re not sure there’s a better review than that 💛

But behind all that fun, these lovely words also mention the things that matter enormously to us such as children being treated as individuals, thoughtful activities, brilliant Crew and creating somewhere that feels warm, welcoming and a little bit magical.

Either way, now feels like a very good time to look ahead because October half term is just ONE MONTH away.

OCTOBERFEST runs from 26th - 30th October at Greenbank Preparatory School and Day Nursery , Ladybrook Primary School and Cheadle Catholic Infant School, and we already have limited availability on some days.

So, if you’re feeling organised, keep that momentum going.

That’s why our multi-activity Holiday Clubs work so well for siblings. Same club, same drop-off and pick-up, but plenty of choice for different ages, interests and personalities.

Anyone else VERY ready for autumn? 🍂

We love summer at Practically Family, but there’s something pretty special about this time of year too.

Crunchy leaves. Conkers. Den building. Puddles that absolutely must be jumped in. Halloween silliness. Getting muddy without anyone being particularly surprised about it 😂

And we love that autumn gets children noticing the world around them. The colours change. New treasures appear on the ground. The weather gets cooler. And suddenly the same outdoor space they've played in all summer offers something completely different.

It’s also proof that family adventures don't need sunshine and 25 degrees.

Sometimes all you need is a pair of wellies, a pile of leaves and a really good stick 🍂💛

You don't have to need childcare to book Holiday Club. 💛

Of course, we're here when you’re working and need somewhere brilliant for your children to spend the day.

But you can also book because they LOVE coming.

Because they want to see their friends. Because there’s more going on than you could reasonably recreate at home. Because they'd choose a giant inflatable over following you around the supermarket every single time 😂

And perhaps you’d quite like a day to yourself too.

To catch up on jobs. Work from home without interruption. Meet a friend. Go for a walk. Sit somewhere quietly with a HOT coffee. Or simply enjoy not being responsible for the October half-term entertainment schedule for a few hours.

They get a brilliant day. You get a day too.

Sounds pretty fair to us 🎃💛

September is Move More Month, and it got us thinking about just how much movement happens during an ordinary day at Holiday Club....without them actually realise they're exercising!

They’re racing across the field after a ball, scrambling through an inflatable obstacle course, balancing along a trim trail, carrying branches for the world’s most elaborate den, chasing their friends or inventing a game that appears to have 37 rules and absolutely none of them make sense to us. 😂

It all counts.

And we love that, because helping children discover ways of moving that they genuinely enjoy can help build positive habits around being active, while movement, outdoor play and time with friends are good for both physical and mental wellbeing.

Not every child loves football. Not every child wants to race. Some will bounce for hours, some will climb, some will dance and some would happily spend an afternoon exploring outdoors.

This much choice is one of the key benefits of our multi-activity Holiday Clubs.

There are lots of ways to move, but the fun ones are best 💛

♻️✨ One family’s rubbish is another child’s robot! ✨♻️

This week is Recycle Week, and at Holiday Club we love giving “junk” a joyful new lease of life.

Some creations spark imaginative play - epic castles, speedy cars, cosy dens and clunky robots 🤖🏰🚗 - while others become useful new treasures - pen pots, scrunchie holders and all sorts of clever inventions to take home.

Junk modelling isn’t just fun, it’s brilliant for:
🌟 Imagination – a cardboard box can be anything.
🌟 Problem-solving – “How can I make my tower stand tall?”
🌟 Sustainability – showing kids that reusing is just as powerful as recycling.
🌟 Pride – nothing beats the buzz of creating something from nothing and it actually staying together!

So this Recycle Week, save those boxes and tubes - you never know what they might become in the hands of a child with a big idea💡and it not...we'll take them!!

🍁 The humble autumn leaf - nature’s most underrated toy! 🍁

Forget fancy equipment, a pile of leaves offers endless fun and creativity for kids. Here are four of our favourites 👆

1️⃣ Leaf Printing 🎨 – dip leaves in paint and press onto paper for magical autumn patterns.
2️⃣ Leaf Characters 😄 – glue on googly eyes, draw faces, and suddenly you’ve got a whole leafy family.
3️⃣ Leaf Hunting 🔎 – match leaves to a guidebook or picture chart - a scavenger hunt with a nature twist.
4️⃣ Leaf Crowns 👑 – thread together fallen leaves to make autumnal headwear worthy of a woodland king or queen.
