π A little peek into life at Pepperberry...
This week our children have been exploring life on the farm through sensory play, animal matching activities and creative sheep printing.
From recognising different farm animals to experimenting with textures and creating their own artwork, every activity encourages curiosity, communication and confidence.
What looks like simple play is helping children develop important skills that support their learning and development every day. π

Meet Abby π
Abby is an Early Years Teacher at Pepperberry, here's what she had to say...
"With the support of Pepperberry, I am currently completing my ECT (Early Career Teacher) training, which is helping me develop further in my teaching journey.
I am very passionate about my role and committed to preparing and supporting children as they build the knowledge, skills, and values they need for personal growth and a successful future.
I love fostering independence, confidence, and well-being in every child. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading. Iβm currently working my way through The Ghost of Marlow House series (39 books in total-Iβm on number 18!), and my favourite childrenβs story is The Gruffalo.
One of my favourite quotes is: βAlways believe in yourself, you are enough.β This means a lot to me, and I have made it my personal mission to spread positivity, encourage confidence, and inspire self-belief, because doing our best is truly all we can ask of ourselves."

Some of our Pre-Prep children enjoyed an amazing visit to Peak Wildlife Park on Thursday π¦π
The day was filled with excitement, curiosity and plenty of opportunities to learn about the natural world. Seeing the children's faces light up as they met wallabies, penguins, lemurs and other wonderful animals was truly special β¨
Experiences like these help bring learning to life. As the children explored new environments, asked questions and observed animals up close, they were building confidence, developing communication skills and deepening their understanding of the world around them πΏ
There were lots of smiles, plenty of adventure and memories made throughout the day, making it a fantastic experience for everyone involved π§πΎ

Meet Holly π
Holly works in our Sweet Chilli Peppers room with our 2-3 year olds and loves how inquisitive the children are at this age.
Here's what she had to say...
"Hi, my name is Holly and I work in the 2-3 unit upstairs in Sweet Chilli Peppers. I have worked in childcare for the past 9 years and am level 3 qualified.
In my own time I enjoy spending time with family, going on days out and going on holidays exploring the world with my beautiful daughter Melody.
I love to support and watch each individual child meet their milestones and enjoy creating fun, stimulating and interesting activities.
Working in childcare is an incredibly rewarding job and everyday brings new opportunity helping children develop essential skills that they will carry throughout their life. I have learnt so much over the years of working in childcare and truly believe "children may forget what you say, but will never forget how you made them feel."
If you'd like to have a look around our nursery and meet our wonderful staff, just drop us a message and we can arrange a private tour π

π Inside Nursery Life π
Sometimes the smallest activities help build the biggest skills.
Our Chilli Peppers have been busy practising their pencil control and letter formation, developing the foundations they'll use as they prepare for school.
While it may look like a simple tracing activity, little hands are working hard to build concentration, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and confidence.
Every child develops at their own pace, and we love creating opportunities that help them learn, grow and achieve in a way that feels fun and engaging.
It's amazing to see how much progress can be made through the little moments that happen every day. π

From first smiles and first steps to growing confidence and preparing for school, every child at Pepperberry is supported in a room designed specifically for their age and stage of development. π
Our nursery is carefully organised into four age-appropriate rooms, allowing children to learn, play and thrive in an environment tailored to their individual needs:
π Baby Peppers (0-12 months)
A nurturing, home-from-home environment where our youngest children feel safe, secure and loved.
π Tiny Peppers (1-2 years)
A space full of exploration, movement and discovery as little personalities begin to shine.
πΆοΈ Sweet & Chilli Peppers (2-3 years)
Building confidence, independence, friendships and a love of learning through play.
β Pre Prep (3-5 years)
Our four Pre Prep classes β Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Peppers β help prepare children for school through a balance of fun, creativity and structured learning experiences.
Each room is led by experienced, nurturing practitioners who understand the developmental milestones of that age group, helping children build confidence, independence and a love of learning through play.
Whether your little one is just beginning their nursery journey or getting ready for school, we're here to support them every step of the way.

Our little learners have been busy exploring the wonderful world of mini beasts and The Very Hungry Caterpillar this month ππΏ
Through sensory trays, mark making, painting, nature exploration and hands-on activities, the children have been developing their creativity, communication, fine motor skills and curiosity about the world around them β¨
Itβs been lovely to watch them investigate textures, discover bugs, practise early writing skills and bring the story to life through play and exploration π
Some of the best learning moments happen when children are simply enjoying themselves π

Meet our deputy manager Sara π
Let's get to know her.
"Hello, my name is Sara. Iβve recently relocated to Cheshire from Harrogate, bringing with me over 20 years of experience in early years education.
In my previous role, I worked as a Deputy Manager and Room Leader, where I developed strong leadership, organisational, and nurturing skills.
I hold a Level 5 qualification and have experience working with children of all ages. I love supporting each childβs development and watching their confidence grow as they explore and learn through play.
One of my favourite quotes is: βChildren learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.β
Above all, I believe learning should be fun, and I take great joy in creating a positive, engaging environment where every child can shine."
At Pepperberry, we believe itβs important for families to truly know the people caring for their little ones each day, helping provide reassurance, trust and peace of mind π
Our caring team are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where children feel happy, confident and valued - and all of our staff are Paediatric First Aid trained.

Meet the lovely Jess π
Jess has been with us since 2016. Let's get to know her.
'In my own time I fill it with as many fun days as possible with my son and my little dog Winston.
I also love to read and cook and, when I can, I enjoy attending live music events.
Growing up my absolute favourite books to read were the Hunger games and remember being so excited when they became movies and hit the cinemas. To this day they are still very much a comfort read to me.
My favourite quote is by the famous Winnie the Pooh who says "A hug is always the right size" . I love this quote because I think sometimes it's something that we all need to make us feel better when things sometimes feel too much.'
To meet Jess and the rest of the team, you can book a private tour, just pop us an email to [email protected]. We'd love to welcome you!
