We’re still doing some repairs from The Repair Café last weekend hosted by our local group.
⛓️Here’s one of the broken gold chains which has a new lease of life, reducing Co2 & carbon footprint.
The next event is March, however do get in touch for any jewellery and small object repairs before then.

Elaine’s been working on a contemporary design from recycled silver, melted, rolled, pierced, soldered, filed and complemented with a handmade tube setting.
Stunning and very well executed.

Karen finished all her projects last night.
Her recent work is made from all the odds and ends in her tool box as well as up-cycling broken or old jewellery components.
They are all stunning and look great with the mix of different metals & stones.

Happy Halloween…
Two of our students spooky creations & both have entered the Cooksongold Halloween Colpetition.
🤞🏽Fingers crossed for them both.
🧙🏻♀️ Sarah’s wicked witch and winter witch tea light holders are so intricate, all hand stitched from miyuki beads.
💀 Elaine’s “Day of the Dead” ring combines two crafts, ceramics and silversmithing. So many teeny components all soldered together encasing the ceramic skull.

Check out Elaine’s spooky Halloween ring which has been entered into this months Design Of The Month Competition Cooksongold. It combines her love of jewellery and ceramic classes.
“Thought I'd combine my hobbies and mash up my ceramics with silver smithing (well actually oxidised copper) and experiment - and this came out! Influenced by the 'Day of the Dead' imagery I made this chunky ring for my daughter who wore it for this year's Ibiza dance 'season'! Cool eh!” Elaine W

What a success……..
One of our students made a silicon mould, then made a variety of castings into the mould which then translated into a sand casting.
It sounds long winded but it will be worth it.
Keep your eyes peeled for this long term project.

💎On Mondays we welcome some of our beginners.
💎We have spent the last two weeks learning how to use some of our tools.
