Form 6 Residential to… The Netherlands! 🇳🇱

On day 2. F6 have enjoyed an excellent afternoon of football against one of the local clubs!

The boys were outstanding, showing great determination and resilience throughout the match. After a hard-fought contest, they came away with a 3–2 victory, thanks to a dramatic last-minute winner from Edward. What a goal it was to seal the win!

The girls got off to a flying start, scoring within the first two minutes. Indi, Violet, Lily and Hermione all got on the scoresheet, while Aïsha produced some fantastic saves in goal. The team kept pushing from start to finish and secured an impressive 12–1 victory. Their effort and attitude were brilliant, and they never gave up.

Owls have been on a Pond Life Hunt, making the most of one of the very special parts of our school grounds - our wildlife pond.

Our two year olds set off in search of frogs, newts, pond snails and other tiny pond creatures, with plenty of excitement as they were able to see them up close. There was lots of careful looking, gentle hands and brilliant curiosity as the children noticed how the creatures moved, where they were hiding and what made each one different.

It is a wonderful thing for some of our youngest children to have these experiences as part of everyday nursery life. To be able to walk from their room, through the school grounds and straight into a real outdoor learning opportunity is something we never take for granted.

Nature is one of the best classrooms there is, and at Pownall our Early Years children have so much of it right on their doorstep.

We are recruiting for a Marketing and Digital Communications Manager to join Pownall Hall School on a maternity cover contract from September 2026.

This is a busy, creative and varied role at the heart of a thriving independent school in Wilmslow. We are looking for someone with strong experience in marketing, social media and visual content creation, who can help share the day-to-day life of the school with warmth, care and polish.

The role includes managing social media, capturing school events through photography and videography, creating marketing materials in Canva, preparing the weekly newsletter, updating the website, supporting our busy Admissions desk, and much more!

It would suit someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure and takes pride in producing high-quality work that feels real, thoughtful and beautifully presented.
