Today, our school community came together for a special assembly reflecting on kindness, compassion and the importance of supporting one another through life's challenges.

Through the story of The Kindness Tree, we explored how small acts of kindness can help others feel cared for and supported, especially during difficult times. The story reminded us that while we cannot always take away someone's sadness or worries, we can help ensure they never face them alone.

As part of the assembly, we paused for a minute's silence to remember those affected by events that touched our community on teh 17th July last year, and to reflect on the importance of kindness, empathy and togetherness.

❤️ A small act of kindness can make a big difference, and together we can help one another through both the sunny days and the rainy ones.

💙 St Peter's Miles That Matter – For Our Community and Beyond 💙

We're excited to share an incredible challenge that five members of our St Peter's community will be taking on in March 2027 – walking 100 miles in just 4 days! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

This isn't just about the miles – it's about making a lasting difference to the people and places that mean so much to us.

Every donation will be shared between three amazing causes:
🏫 70% – St Peter's School, helping to develop our playground and provide new equipment for our children.
⛪ 20% – St Peter's Church, supporting essential building repairs and preserving our community hub.
🚁 10% – The Air Ambulance, helping to fund the life-saving emergency service that supports our region.

Come along to the Fete in Williton tomorrow. It is a lovely afternoon out for the whole family! We will have two stalls there, one run by our PTA, and one by our Pre School.

The children have also got some entries for Children Section of the Flower, Produce and Craft Show. Come along and see their work!

The children had an amazing experience at Brook Food & Bakery Equipment. They very excitedly told us all about their bread making on their return to school.
Thank you so much for welcoming our children and giving them a core memory.
..and the bread rolls were very yummy! 😋

Join St Peter's and make a difference!

The children have been exploring prehistoric art by creating their own charcoal cave drawings — and they absolutely loved it!

To begin, they crushed charcoal to create a textured, “stone-like” background. The children then sketched simple outlines of their chosen animals before going over them to add finer details using charcoal. With plenty of smudging and shading, their artwork really came to life — and the results were fantastic ⭐️

It was a fun (and wonderfully messy!) lesson, with everyone fully engaged and incredibly proud of their final masterpieces.

Year 4 are having a super time. They have been doing some archery, team problem solving and raft building... then testing the raft out on the lake!
We're look forward to a camp fire after a meatball or curry tea later!

✨ Year 4 Residential Adventure Begins! ✨

Our Year 4 children have safely departed school today, full of excitement and ready for their residential trip! 🌟

They’ll be away for two nights, enjoying an action-packed experience packed with adventure, teamwork and fun. From trying their hand at archery to working together on raft-building challenges, and so much more, there’s plenty to keep them busy and smiling! 🏹🚣‍♂️

This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to build confidence, develop new skills and create lasting memories with their friends.

We wish them an amazing time and can’t wait to hear all about their adventures when they return! 😊
