As we close the doors on Little Stars for a final time I'd like to share a few thoughts on the last 14 years.

I started Little Stars when Chloe was 3 and Harry wasn’t a year old. They’re now 17 and 14. Never when I started did I think it would turn into what it has. It was a bit of hairbrained scheme to allow me to be with my family a bit more but it turned into slightly more than that!

We’ve been part of so many lives over the past 14 years. Seen children grow and families thrive. We’ve been through the ups and the downs with so many of you and I am privileged to have been a part of your lives.

Closing Little Stars hasn’t been an easy decision and it continues to be really difficult but rather than think about the sadness I want to focus on all of the positives. The team of staff have worked so hard to provide the best they can for these children. They work ridiculously hard, often in their own time to plan, prepare and deliver some wonderful experiences for our children. They treat the children like their own and celebrate their wins like they are they would their own children. I wanted Little Stars to be exactly that, somewhere where parents feel happy and confident leaving their child because they knew they would get the best of care and education and I feel that’s exactly what we have made.

I am beyond proud of what we have achieved and whilst I am devastated we closing our doors today I am leaving with a heart full of joy and the happiest of memories.
Thank you to you parents for all of your support and for choosing us to share in your child’s journey. Thank you to our wonderful children for being amazing and making us smile everyday. You guys are awesome and I know you are all going to be superstars.

To my staff, I don’t have the words. You guys have been amazing, we’ve certainly been through some highs and some lows but you have been there to support each other, and me at every step. Not all teams work like we do but I hope I’ve created a space where you all feel valued, appreciated and loved. Thank you for everything, Little Stars wouldn’t be what it is without you.

I have no idea what the future holds but if it’s as eventful as the last 14 years it will certainly keep me on my toes!

Thank you and Merry Christmas
Kate ###
