Yesterday was National Fajita Day so we used this as a learning opportunity for our children.
We talked about what fajitas are and where they come from, we had a lovely ‘fajita cafe’ at our play dough area, we coloured in pictures, listened to Mexican music and at lunchtime we had a Mexican feast. The children sat lovely together building their own fajitas, passing each other different plates and we saw some lovely table manners ❤️

We are very lucky to have ‘our forest’ on hot days like yesterday! We spent the morning shaded under the trees creating solar eclipses🌙 🌕🌅shout out to our parents for including their children in this event, because they all knew exactly what it was, they were all so excited to share how they viewed it and we were able to have a quality, scientific discussion 🫶🏼

One of the children asked if we could do a day dedicated to ballerinas and of course we took this and ran with it !! so yesterday we had a ballerina day consisting of lots of ballerina themed activities, ballet dancing and even some beautiful costumes 💖🧑‍🩰 Things like this are what we pride ourselves on at JoJo’s Childcare, taking the children’s interests and adapting them into meaningful learning and building new skills🩰💕

I am looking for someone to join us at Jo Jo’s childcare!!
Jo Jo’s childcare is a small, homely, family run nursery, we are a mixed age setting where the children are our friends and every day is different, we are child led and have a montessori approach to our learning ❤️
Im looking for someone who has a Level 3 qualification and experience with EYFS age children, someone who has a great work ethic, someone that can work alone as-well as part of a team, someone who has initiative and can bring ideas to the team, someone who can sing out of tune to a group of toddlers, who can read a book whilst being interrupted constantly, someone who has eyes in the back of their head and who can multitask, most importantly someone who has a big heart and wants to be part of our little people achieving their very best ❤️
