Tonight we had Makaton training with a few of our staff and parents ♥️ Makaton can support the development of vocabulary as adding information to the spoken word and helps build information about language and how language is stored. Makaton encourages children and young people to interact face to face; this enables social engagement and helps develop language skills.
What an adventure we had today! First, we went on the park before catching the bus into Aldridge. We had a walk around the shops and did some colouring for World Book Day. We then enjoyed lunch in Morrisons!
The children were absolutely golden - the staff in Morrisons came over and gave the children some stickers, telling us they are a credit to our setting! We are so proud.
