Blossoms Day Nursery Great Barr
Children at Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery Pelsall took part in activities all about mental well-being.
They laid down to relax with their friends and thought about what made them happy while listening to calming music. The children then took part in circle time taking turns to tell one another how they were feeling and what makes them happy. ❤️ The children also enjoyed making lavender play dough together. They took turns adding and mixing the ingredients and smelling and describing the scent.
The children have also put up their rainbows for the locals to see on their walks... 🌈
Please do keep sending through pics of what you have been up to while open for key worker and vulnerable children. We'd love for our members to be inspiring each other in this difficult time.

It was a pleasure to be joined at the Carnival by the West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street who saw first-hand the true community spirit and team effort which goes into staging the event.
Once again Carnival day was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and new ones alike from Pelsall and further afield. Many of our local charities and community groups were out in force and it was good to be able to speak with so many groups such as representatives from St Michael & All Angels Church, Pelsall, Soroptimist International Walsall, the OFFICIAL FRIENDS OF PELSALL COMMONS GROUP and St Giles Hospice.
Earlier in the year I was delighted to have been invited by the Pelsall carnival (official) Committee to be a part of the judging panel for the Carnival Queen and Royalty, and so on Saturday it was an honour to be asked to Crown this year’s Carnival Queen, Elizabeth Cox and the junior Carnival Royalty. Congratulations to you all.
The Carnival is a high point of my annual calendar and the 2019 event was once again a magnificent day. I would like to thank the 2019 Pelsall Carnival Committee for their continued hard work and dedication.
Full day care 51 weeks of the year. 5 days a week 7am-6pm

Our Curiosity Approach Accredited settings understand WHY they need to create those cosy comfortable spaces.
At The Curiosity Approach, we first introduced the word 'Hygge', in our first book The A-Z of The Curiosity Approach back in 2017, but what does it mean and why should we pay attention to the physical environment we provide for children?
Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, ordinary or extraordinary as cosy, charming or special.
Hygge is a feeling you cannot translate.
It’s about a space that promotes emotional well-being, togetherness and friendship. It’s a place children, can feel comfortable to snuggle down or explore with confidence.
Far removed from an institutionalized sterile setting, hygge offers children within your setting a sense of security and well-being. An extension of their home and not a watered-down version of school.
At The Curiosity Approach we look to place caregiving moments as a priority, Nel Noddings quote
‘My contention is, first, that we should want more from our educational efforts than adequate academic achievement and, second, that we will not achieve even that meager success unless our children believe that they themselves are cared for and learn to care for others.’
We are also inspired by the works of Emmi Pikler , have you accessed our pocket size training an introduction to Pikler ? Find the link here 👇🏽
Thank you for the image, following on from them being members of our Curiosity Approach Academy and understanding more about our modern day pedagogy.
They have gone from ‘ordinary to extraordinary ‘❤️
Within Curiosity Approach Academy you will hear directly from Lyndsey and Myself ( Stephanie) remove the myths and misconceptions that filter out.
Academy doors are now open! ( last few days )
🔹Do you and your team need to boost moral?
🔹Reward the team for their exemplary efforts over the past 2 years and before !
🔹Are they inspired by us and joining the Academy would be the best well being boost ever ?
Why not reward them and join today ! Joining the ACADEMY is for the ENTIRE team 🎉
