TIP TOP DAY Nursery

Happy mothers day to all! 👩‍🍼🥰
Yesterday we invited parents and carers in for our mothers day afternoon tea and stay and play. The children helped prepare some yummy treats for the parents beforehand🧁🍰. Whilst the parents were here, the children enjoyed different activities in the rooms, such as colouring sheets, playdough, painting and shaving foam🎨🖌. It was great to have the parents join us for some fun at nursery and the children loved having you here too to see what nursery is all about... messy fun and learning 💖✏️

We can hardly believe it but we have been open 3 years today ❤️
Starting with only a few children on roll with 3 staff and now children and staff everywhere!
Thank you to our fantastic owners for taking the plunge!
Thank you to our amazing staff who show up each day and give it their all through the good and bad!
Thank you to our parents for choosing us and trusting us with your babies! We know its never easy!

This week we have also celebrated Holi festival! We have used this opportunity to focus on learning colours with the children and other new language throughout. Such as mathematical language (e.g. big, small, round, long), and descriptive language, such as dry, wet, sticky, soft.
The children loved seeing all the colours and some of them even painted their own t shirts with colour! ❤️💙💜💛💚

We really enjoyed world book day here at Tip Top Willenhall yesterday! 📖📚
The children engaged in some fun and exciting story themed activities such as 'evil pea playdough' in preschool, 'hungry caterpillar tuff tray' in toddlers and gruffalo pasta and playdough in babies.
The preschool staff even put on a performance of the supertato story which the children found hilarious 😂

The children absolutely loved learning about the different animals. They learnt new words, and new facts about the animals. The children showed such care with the animals and were really gentle touching and stroking them. It really helped develop the children's language skills and their understanding of the world. We can't wait to build on their knowledge about animals further now 😊

I am pleased to share our recent ofsted outcome, so in November we were one of the first settings to be inspected under the new framework.
I can share that we got a expected standard with an aspect in childrens behaviours and attitudes as strong standard 💪
I am so proud of us as a team and what we have achieved.
The staff and children were fantastic on the day and made me so proud 😁
It just shows how far we have come as team in the last 12 months.
We can now continue to improve our practice and make Tip Top Moxley an environment were both children and staff thrive and achieve ❤️

So we've had a busy few months here at Tip Top Willenhall.
We enjoyed a trip to Dudley zoo, where the children learned animal names and older children spoke about where the animals might live or what they eat.🐅🦒
Some of our children left us to start their new adventures at school, we celebrated with a graduation party at the nursery, we hope they have all settled in really well and we miss them already☺️🎓
We enjoyed the lovely sunshine, taking the opportunity for lots of water play activities and a few local walks too 💦🌻
We have welcomed some new little ones into the nursery, who have already started settling so well, we can't wait to see them grow with us 😊
To keep in line with the updated nutritional guidance, we have updated our nursery menus and the children have tried lots of different meals and snacks. Some of the children have even got stuck in with helping to make their own homemade soup! 😍🍲
