This week in Busy Bees, our story was We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. We’ve had lots of fun doing different bear-y activities! 🐻
It has been quite a wet week so we made a car wash and really enjoyed cleaning the bikes and tractors.

🐝 On Wednesday it was World Bee Day! To celebrate, we have had a very fun week learning all about bees.🐝
We have collected pollen and flowers; painted bees; baked honey buns; made hats and playdough bees; and had honey on toast!
At last, a butterfly has come out of its cocoon! We let it go this afternoon but hopefully it will come to visit us. 🦋
Happy half-term!

Class 3 have enjoyed a relaxing day away from the classroom today. They have been working in teams to build dens and lead each other blindfolded around some tricky trails in Whinlatter forest. The perfect end to a very busy SATS week!

Our VIPs this week have both been recognised for their writing. One has worked really hard to develop their handwriting across the curriculum, and the other produced some excellent independent sentences. Well done boys!
It was too hard to single out a Class3 VIP this week - well done to all the Year 6s who did SATs and Year 5 who also had an assessment week.

🌻This week we planted sunflowers in Busy Bees. We each took a turn to add a sunflower seed into the pot. We’re so excited to watch them grow! 🌻
We have made lots of different artwork based on our sunflower theme including paintings and collages.
It was very exciting when we found a snail outside! We made a home for it and spent a long time watching it.

We have learned all about ladybirds this week in Busy Bees. 🐞
There were lots of different ladybird activities to practise our counting and number recognition skills. We have also enjoyed painting ladybirds using sponges and cotton buds.
We have been enjoying the nice weather and had lots of fun playing in the big sandpit and playing musical instruments outside. ☀️
