After consulting with our sixth-form students, it was clear that improved facilities is top of the agenda to further enhance the sixth-form experience at NTS. A huge thank you to Carlisle Vending and the team (carlislevending.co.uk) who have supplied two new vending machines for the Sixth Form Common Room free of charge. Fantastic new additions to the Sixth Form area. You spoke, we listened!

Last night, the Music Department was delighted to host an informal concert in the school library, showcasing performances from pupils across Years 7–13.
The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for students to perform as soloists and in small ensembles, celebrating the breadth of musical talent within the school. For some performers, this was one of their first opportunities to share their musical progress with an audience, while for others it marked the culmination of many years of dedication and hard work.
Particularly memorable were the outstanding performances from our Year 13 students, Julia, Ondrej and Ernest, who gave performances of the highest standard in what was their final concert at NTS. A special highlight of the evening was the performance of an original composition by Ondrej, performed by Mrs Bell and Mrs Le Breton, who have both taught him during his time at the school.
The concert was a truly special occasion, not only celebrating individual achievement but also demonstrating the strength of our musical community. There was a real sense of older students passing the baton on to the next generation of musicians, inspiring our younger performers as they begin their own musical journeys.
Congratulations to all of the pupils who performed and thank you to everyone who came along to support them.
Mrs Le Breton would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the rest of the Music Department staff for their support and dedication during this academic year. It has been an exciting and fulfilling year in the department and we are looking forward to what next year will bring. Well done to all the students too, who have given up their time to contribute to the extra-curricular opportunities available.

A fantastic achievement for Logan Stokes in Year 8, who has become only the second mathematician in the school's history to earn a Gold Certificate in the UKMT Junior Kangaroo—an invitation-only competition for the highest performers in the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge.
Facing 25 fiendishly difficult problems, the Junior Kangaroo is designed to test the very best young mathematical minds in the country. Logan excelled, demonstrating exceptional reasoning, resilience and problem-solving ability throughout the challenge.
Everyone at NTS is immensely proud of Logan's success and looks forward to following the next stages of his mathematical journey. This is a truly outstanding accomplishment and a richly deserved recognition of his talent and hard work
