📚✨ Poetry Day with Sean Perkins! ✨📚

What a treat for our children today! We are delighted to welcome poet and author Sean Perkins to St Wilfrid’s for a full day of exciting poetry workshops. 📝📖

We are especially lucky to be the first children to hear Sean’s brand-new story — what a special experience! 🤩

Children will also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Sean’s book. A letter will be sent home tonight with all the details, and copies purchased will be signed by Sean himself! ✍️📚

What a fantastic way to celebrate Poetry Day 2026! ❤️

🌿 Forest School Adventures! 🌿✨

The children headed off on a nature hunt, searching for sticks and other wonderful pieces of nature to use in their very own magical wands! 🪄🍂🌿

There was lots of exploring, collecting, creating and imaginative play along the way. We love getting outside and discovering what nature has to offer! 💚

🌾 Harvest Fun in Nursery! 🥔🍲

Nursery have been celebrating Harvest by getting stuck in! The children harvested potatoes from the mud, chopped their vegetables and worked together to make their very own delicious potato and leek soup. 🥔🥕🧅

Of course, there was plenty of muddy play and exploring the farm and pumpkins too! 🎃🐷

A wonderful day of hands-on learning, exploring and celebrating Harvest! 🌾❤️

🍎🌳 Forest School Adventures in Nursery! 🌳🍎

Our Nursery children had a wonderful time exploring during Forest School! They discovered an apple tree on their adventures and were inspired to bring some of their delicious findings back to school.

They then put their baking skills to the test and enjoyed making a delicious apple cake together! 🧁🍏

Lots of exploring, learning and fun along the way! 💚

💚 Macmillan Assembly 💚

Our whole school came together for a special Macmillan assembly with Mr Hassan today. We talked about the important work Macmillan Cancer Support does and how our fundraising can help support people and families when they need it most.

A lovely opportunity for our children to learn, reflect and think about how we can make a difference together. 💚

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Macmillan fundraising today! ☕️🍰💚
