Hello, I just want to say another huge thank you for all of my lovely gifts, I’m extremely lucky to work alongside your wonderful children, it makes my day seeing their smiley faces coming in each morning! I’ll miss them all very much over the summer but I will look forward to the stories they will tell me when we are back in September. Wishing you all an amazing summer!

I truly appreciate every gesture and feel incredibly blessed to be appreciated in such a meaningful way. It is an absolute pleasure and privilege to be part of the children's lives, watching them learn, grow, and shine every day.

I also feel so fortunate to work alongside such fantastic colleagues. Your friendship, encouragement, and teamwork make every day enjoyable, and I am grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive team.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed our latest addition—the sensory tent. It has provided them with a calm, comfortable space to unwind and regulate after a busy day at school. It has been lovely to see them choosing to use it to relax, recharge, and support their emotional wellbeing.

Today we had lots of fun keeping cool with a little 💦 water💦 play 💦

Tomorrow will be another hot day so your child is welcome to bring in a change of clothes for more water fun 💦

Please ensure they have sun cream and sun hats.

"We'd like a wider variety of snacks."
✅ We did...
We have introduced a greater variety of snacks and have asked the children what they would like to see available. Whilst we have always provided fresh fruit and vegetables, we are now offering them more frequently and with an even wider choice.
🎲 You said...
"We'd like more variety in activities."
✅ We did...
We've purchased a range of new toys and activities to provide even more exciting play opportunities. We also plan to purchase either a pool table or an air hockey table after the summer holidays for our older children to enjoy.
🚪 You said...
"It's difficult to comment on the setting because we don't come inside due to the security system."
✅ We did...
We completely understood your comments. We also felt that the current arrangements limited opportunities to build strong relationships with parents and carers and prevented families from seeing their children interacting with friends and enjoying the activities on offer.
We spoke with the school and requested permission to return to our previous practice of welcoming parents and carers into the setting.
We're delighted to say they agreed! 🎉

"Could you open earlier at 7:30am?"
✅ We did...
As some of you may remember, we have trialled a 7:30am opening on previous occasions. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough demand at the time to make it sustainable.
However, we will be trialling this again once our new September starters have settled into the setting.
📢 We'll keep everyone informed of the planned start date.

"We'd like invoices."
✅ We did...
We carefully considered this suggestion. However, our priority is always the health, safety and wellbeing of the children.
Creating weekly invoices would require additional office time and staffing, which could result in increased operating costs and, ultimately, higher childcare fees.
As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, fees are payable weekly and, where payments are made as agreed, invoices should not be necessary.
However, we are always happy to provide a receipt for any payment made, allowing you to keep a record of your childcare fees.

"We'd like hot meals to be provided."
✅ We did...
We explored this suggestion carefully. Unfortunately, preparing and serving hot meals would require additional staffing, preparation time and equipment, all of which would significantly increase our running costs.
At Crackerjax, we are committed to keeping our childcare fees as affordable as possible while continuing to provide high-quality care. For this reason, we are unable to introduce hot meals at this time.

These important life skills help children become confident, resilient and respectful, and we appreciate your continued support in encouraging these at home too.
