A fantastic Results Day at UCS Bolton!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate another outstanding set of results, with students achieving record results in key subjects and taking their next steps into university, apprenticeships and employment.

Applied Science students achieved an average grade of Distinction*, the highest outcomes achieved in the qualification at UCS Sixth Form, while our Engineering students achieved the best results in the history of the sixth form.

We are also on course for a third consecutive year of 100% positive destinations, with students progressing into university, higher and degree apprenticeships, employment and further training.

Congratulations to all our students, including:

• Sofia – Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction, progressing to the University of Salford to study Podiatry.

• Stephanie – Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction*, securing a Healthcare Assistant Apprenticeship with Brighter Futures.

• Zertashia – Distinction*, Distinction, Distinction, securing a Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship at Rodericks Dental in Farnworth.

• Raghda – achieving outstanding results in Applied Science and progressing to the University of Salford to study Nursing.

These results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work and determination of our students, alongside the dedication of our staff and the strength of UCS's academic, technical and vocational curriculum.

Celebrating Exceptional Outcomes Across QUEST Primary Schools

We are delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional achievement across our primary schools, reflecting the hard work, dedication and ambition of our pupils, staff and families.

Our Year 6 SATs outcomes this year are exceptional. 82% of pupils achieved the Expected Standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, placing QUEST schools 19 percentage points above the national average.

Even more remarkably, over the last three years, the proportion of pupils achieving the Expected Standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined has increased by a phenomenal 31 percentage points across our schools. This represents a rate of improvement more than ten times greater than that seen nationally, demonstrating the sustained impact of our unwavering commitment to excellence, high expectations and continuous school improvement.

This year alone, the percentage of pupils achieving the Expected Standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined increased by a further 11 percentage points compared with 2025.

These achievements are part of a strong picture right across our primary phase:

77% of children achieved a Good Level of Development in Reception
Year 1 and Year 2 Phonics outcomes continue to exceed national expectations
Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check results remain strong and above national benchmarks

These outcomes are a testament to the dedication of our staff, the support of our families and, most importantly, the enthusiasm, resilience and determination of our pupils. Together, we are ensuring that every child receives an excellent education and is equipped to thrive on their journey from Early Years to Employment.

Congratulations to every pupil, member of staff, governor, trustee and family who has contributed to these remarkable achievements. We could not be prouder of what has been accomplished across QUEST schools and look forward to building on this success in the years ahead.

You have all worked incredibly hard throughout the year and should be proud of everything you have achieved. Remember, your SATs results are just one part of your journey and they do not define your talents, potential or future success.

One of the most important online safety messages we can share with children is that they are never alone.

If something online makes a child feel worried, upset or uncomfortable, they should know there is always someone they can talk to. This could be a trusted adult at school, a parent or carer, or another trusted family member.

Creating open conversations about online experiences helps children feel supported and ensures they get help when they need it.

Together, we can create safe, supportive environments where every child feels confident speaking up.

Our incredible Charity Champions at UCS Bolton have demonstrated the true meaning of community by donating an amazing 1,058 food items to support local charity Urban Outreach.

The student led campaign saw pupils, staff and families come together to collect essential food items for local families facing hardship. Some students even used their own pocket money to contribute, showing exceptional kindness, compassion and generosity.

We are incredibly proud of every single person who supported this fantastic initiative and the positive difference it will make across our community.
