📢 Year 11 Intervention Sessions Begin This Week

To support students in preparing for their written mock examinations in November, Year 11 intervention sessions will be running at both lunchtime and after school on a two-week timetable from Monday 28th September 2026 onwards.

These sessions provide valuable opportunities for students to strengthen their knowledge, develop examination confidence and maximise their potential ahead of the mock examination period.

📚 Students who do not have a scheduled intervention session can access supervised independent study in the Upper Library.

✅ Attendance at intervention sessions has previously shown a direct correlation with GCSE outcomes, and we encourage all Year 11 students to make the most of this opportunity.

💙💛 Safeguarding Focus This Week 💙💛

This week at Hawkley Hall High School, our whole-school focus has been on safeguarding, led by our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Holland.

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. It ensures that every student feels safe, supported and protected, allowing them to learn, grow and thrive in a positive environment.

Throughout the week, students have been reminded of:
✔️ How to stay safe in and out of school
✔️ Who they can speak to if they have any concerns
✔️ The importance of looking out for one another

We are committed to creating a culture where every student feels heard, valued and safe.
