๐Ÿฃ๐ŸŽŒ Year 6 have been celebrating the **Japanese Food Festival** with a fantastic creative challenge! ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตโœจ

The children began by designing their own sushi treats, carefully thinking about colours, ingredients and presentation. They then brought their ideas to life by recreating their sushi creations using a variety of craft materials. ๐ŸŽจโœ‚๏ธ๐Ÿฃ

To complete the project, each class designed and made bento boxes to beautifully present their sushi creations. ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐ŸŒŸ The finished products showcased not only their creativity but also their attention to detail and pride in their work.

It was wonderful to see the children combining art, design and cultural learning while exploring an important aspect of Japanese culture. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตโœจ

We are so proud of the imagination and effort shown by all of our Year 6 pupils! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’™

โœ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ We are incredibly proud of Ian in Year 4, who has shown fantastic initiative by creating his very own 'Writing Wizards' Club! ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Starting next week, Ian will be running the club every Wednesday lunchtime, with our Writing Lead, Mrs Spencer, acting as his assistant. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ“ Ian will provide a space for young writers to share ideas, develop their creativity and bring their imaginations to life through storytelling.

Ian's enthusiasm, leadership and passion for writing have been truly inspiring, and we are so proud to have such a motivated and ambitious member of our HGCP community. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

We can't wait to see the wonderful stories, characters and adventures that Ian and his fellow Writing Wizards create in the weeks ahead! ๐Ÿ“–โœจ๐Ÿš€

Good luck, Ian โ€“ we know it's going to be magical! ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘• What an incredible Own Clothes Day! ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ’™

We are so proud of our amazing school community for coming together to raise a fantastic amount of money for DEBRA, supporting those living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare and painful genetic skin condition. ๐ŸŒŸ
A special thank you to our wonderful Year 6 children, who have been sharing information leaflets to help spread awareness and educate others about EB. Their compassion, confidence and commitment to making a difference have been truly inspiring. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part, donated and helped raise awareness. Together, we are showing the power of kindness, community and support. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Today, 4B took part in an important discussion about open water safety. We explored the potential dangers of rivers, lakes, canals, and the seaside, and learned how to stay safe around open water.
The children shared thoughtful ideas about what to do in an emergency, the importance of following safety signs, and why it is essential to stay with a trusted adult near water. We were impressed by their maturity, participation, and understanding of this important topic.๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ

This afternoon, 5B enjoyed a computing lesson using the iPads. The children developed their digital literacy skills by learning how to access online learning platforms independently and use QR codes to connect to interactive activities. They showed great enthusiasm and confidence while exploring different ways technology can support learning. Well done, 5B! ๐Ÿ’ปโญ
