๐ฃ๐ Year 6 have been celebrating the **Japanese Food Festival** with a fantastic creative challenge! ๐ฏ๐ตโจ
The children began by designing their own sushi treats, carefully thinking about colours, ingredients and presentation. They then brought their ideas to life by recreating their sushi creations using a variety of craft materials. ๐จโ๏ธ๐ฃ
To complete the project, each class designed and made bento boxes to beautifully present their sushi creations. ๐ฆ๐ The finished products showcased not only their creativity but also their attention to detail and pride in their work.
It was wonderful to see the children combining art, design and cultural learning while exploring an important aspect of Japanese culture. ๐๐ฏ๐ตโจ
We are so proud of the imagination and effort shown by all of our Year 6 pupils! ๐ฑ๐

โ๏ธ๐ We are incredibly proud of Ian in Year 4, who has shown fantastic initiative by creating his very own 'Writing Wizards' Club! ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
Starting next week, Ian will be running the club every Wednesday lunchtime, with our Writing Lead, Mrs Spencer, acting as his assistant. ๐๐ Ian will provide a space for young writers to share ideas, develop their creativity and bring their imaginations to life through storytelling.
Ian's enthusiasm, leadership and passion for writing have been truly inspiring, and we are so proud to have such a motivated and ambitious member of our HGCP community. ๐๐
We can't wait to see the wonderful stories, characters and adventures that Ian and his fellow Writing Wizards create in the weeks ahead! ๐โจ๐
Good luck, Ian โ we know it's going to be magical! ๐งโโ๏ธ๐

Today, 4B took part in an important discussion about open water safety. We explored the potential dangers of rivers, lakes, canals, and the seaside, and learned how to stay safe around open water.
The children shared thoughtful ideas about what to do in an emergency, the importance of following safety signs, and why it is essential to stay with a trusted adult near water. We were impressed by their maturity, participation, and understanding of this important topic.๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
