Babies and Toddlers have had a Splashing Good time this morning in the garden! Making the most of the weather 💦 ☀️

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the current high temperatures, we kindly ask that children are not left in nursery longer than necessary outside of your working hours.

As many of you know, our building does not have air conditioning, and although we use fans, shaded areas, hydration breaks, and cool indoor spaces, long days in this heat can still be uncomfortable for young children. They find it harder to regulate their body temperature, and shorter days help keep them safe and settled.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us prioritise the children’s wellbeing during this hot spell.

🌞Sun Safety Reminder for Nursery Families🌞

As the sunnier days arrive, we want to make sure all our children stay safe, comfortable and protected while enjoying outdoor play. Please help us by following our sun‑safety steps:

Apply sunscreen at home — A long‑lasting, high‑factor sunscreen should be applied before your child arrives at nursery.

Send a labelled sun hat — Wide‑brimmed hats offer the best protection for faces, ears and necks.

Provide appropriate clothing — Light, loose‑fitting clothing

Keep spare sunscreen at nursery — As we will need to reapply sunscreen later in the day, please send in a labelled bottle for your child.

Encourage hydration — We ensure regular water breaks, but please make sure your child arrives with their water bottle.

We will continue to monitor the weather closely and adjust outdoor playtimes to keep children cool and protected. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe while still enjoying the sunshine.

We are thrilled to tell you that the nursery have again received a Food hygiene rating of 5, at an unannounced inspection today from Environmental health. Well done to Jo & the team for maintaining the highest of standards at all times 👏👏

Wishing our Tiffany a very happy 3rd Birthday today! She’s had the best day celebrating with her friends 🎈🎂

To celebrate England's first game in the World Cup on Wednesday 17th June we will be having a football-themed day at nursery!

Throughout the day, the children will take part in a variety of fun football related activities and games.

Children are welcome to come dressed in football themed clothing if they wish, such as a football kit, team colours, or any football inspired outfit.

We look forward to a fun filled day of football excitement with the children! ⚽🏆
