There has been lots of interest and conversation in the preschool room about our pets, so we decided to build on the children’s interests by inviting a special visitor into nursery for a show and tell experience.

Today, we were delighted to welcome Isabelle, a student from Cansfield High School, who brought along her pet bunny Oreo. Isabelle spoke to the children about Oreo’s favourite foods, how he enjoys being gently stroked, and the how she cares for and looks after him. All the children listened carefully as Isabelle shared information about his daily care.

The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting Oreo and were excited to share their own experiences of pets. This experience helped us to extend their existing interests and encouraged curiosity, questioning and a love of learning.

A huge thank you to Isabelle for taking the time to visit us and introduce the children to Oreo. We hope they will both come back to visit us again soon!

Welcome back to all our children. We can’t wait to see what this year brings.

With a new nursery year starting we want to provide the best possible learning environment for our children, and this has inspired us to give our preschool room and resources a much-needed revamp. As you can imagine, new equipment and resources can be costly, which is why we are reaching out to our wonderful nursery family for your help. ❤️

If you have anything you no longer need, are thinking of throwing away, or would love to give a new home to, please think of us! We would be incredibly grateful for any donations, big or small. We are particularly looking for items that could support our children’s learning, imagination, creativity and play.

If you have anything you think we might be able to use, please contact the nursery before throwing it away — it could become something wonderful for our children! 🌈

Thank you so much for your continued support. Together, we can create an amazing space for our little learners! 💕
