My story:

After graduating with my bachelors of science degree in 2016, I spent 2 years as a mental health care worker, but I wanted something more to do with my degree.

I initially applied for the police 👮🏼‍♀️ with the hopes of someday being in the mounted unit 🐴
I got all the way to interview stages, but in the middle of the night decided to switch it completely & sent in a late application to Edge Hill university for a teaching degree…

I spent a year completing my PGDE Post-14 in Further Education, and had a blast ✨ I spent a year teaching at a sixth form and a college, and absolutely loved teaching teens subjects I was really passionate about 💡

I then spent a year teaching at an alternative provision, which was the hardest job I’ve ever done in my life, but working with students who have complex SEN, SEND and behavioural needs taught me that there’s a reason for everything, and that learning is never a one-size-fits all, and not everyone fits into the same box 📦

I finished my academic year there, and moved on to an SEN independent school to teach science, I loved the teaching part, but what this taught me is that I’m not a fan of the school environment. There are so many things that restrict teachers from giving their all to their students, so many things we aren’t in control of which stops us from delivering the most amazing lessons & support to all of our students who have such different learning needs 😣

After picking myself up, I had the idea 💡 to start my own private tutoring business which will give me the freedom to actually work with the student, giving me less restrictions to be able to deliver the quality education to individuals that they deserve and need 🎓

🎓 Introduction session - a chance for the student to get to know me, and for us to go through the modules they feel they need to focus on the most, and a chance for us to set goals that the student wants to achieve from tuition! 🤩

🎓 45 minute session - if sitting and engaging in long lessons are not compatible with you or your needs, you can opt for a shorter session where we will cover the content in shorter bursts to give your 🧠 space to breathe! No pressure, no stress, and a relaxed atmosphere to hone your skills.

🎓 full lessons - these can last as long as you want! If you want to cover multiple modules of different subjects, these will be the ones for you. We can get right into it and cover a wide range of content to strengthen your recall and confidence with the subject you are struggling with 👌🏻

Lessons can be delivered online 💻 or face to face in the comfort of your own home 🏡
