Promoting the education of people under the age of 25 yrs who or whose parents live in the Borough of Wigan and who are in need of financial assistance.
While the school was in existence, the Foundation's Trustees administered the endowment income for the benefit of pupils and former pupils of the school. Upon the schools closure there was a considerable endowment but no way of administering it. A new scheme was approved by the Charity Commission on May 2nd 1997.
