Ahead of our Carnival Week next week, our Sensory Superstars have chosen a fabulous RED CARPET theme!

Today, our stars have been busy continuing to work on their show performance, putting in lots of teamwork, confidence and creativity.

And of course… no red carpet experience would be complete without a GLAMOROUS RED CARPET PHOTOSHOOT!

We absolutely loved seeing our stars shine, smile and enjoy their moment in the spotlight!

Check out what our sensory team have been doing over the past few days.
We are into the summer carnival swing, and have been enjoying working on our teams banner!

These activities work on keeping our minds focused, getting creative, aswell as maintaining our motor skills.

💙 A Wonderful Collaboration at One Vision Studios 💙

One Vision was incredibly proud to welcome Sian and Tammy from Guernsey’s Health and Social Care all the way to our studios this week!

They came over to spend time with us and learn all about how One Vision Studios operates, the work we do, and how we create opportunities for people with additional needs.

It was wonderful to hear that they learned so much during their visit and are already hoping to come back again! They have returned home to Guernsey full of ideas, inspiration and, most importantly, a heart full of love to share with their team. They also shared that they have taken bucket loads of inspiration from One Vision Studios and how we run, and are incredibly keen to incorporate our ethos over in Guernsey.

During their visit, our incredible members gave them a truly special and moving performance of Oliver Twist from our memorable summer show. It was a moment filled with pride, emotion and pure talent, a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people are given the opportunity to shine. The confidence, joy and passion in that performance captured everything that One Vision stands for, and it left a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed it.

We hope this visit will help create new opportunities for people with additional needs across Guernsey, and we are so excited about what the future could bring.

We have found this collaboration incredibly valuable and hope it is the beginning of something that continues to grow. By sharing ideas, learning from one another and working together, we can all make real changes and create better opportunities for everyone.

Thank you, Elaine for the introduction and thank you to Sian and Tammy for visiting us and for bringing such enthusiasm, warmth and passion to One Vision. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Well done to our sensory superstars that have worked hard, cleaning staff cars to earn money.

Today we reaped the rewards and enjoyed a wonderful lunch out with our earnings!

Not only have we had so much fun, we have also worked on multiple skills.
We dusted up on our road safety, we worked on our spacial awareness, we made independent choices and loved putting our social skills to good use.

Let’s get started earning some more money for our next treat! ❤️

This morning our sensory group discovered the power of relaxation.

We enjoyed a beautiful pamper, while listening to our favourite guided meditation.
We allowed ourselves the opportunity to explore working on our mindfulness!

After dinner we headed back to the therapy suite, all refreshed and ready to work.
We adapted a person centred approach to our work this afternoon, allowing our group to choose an activity that best suits them.

Laurie and Hamza did a wonderful job, cutting and laminating the pictures, that will add the finishing touches to our entrance.
Anthony did some fantastic work on the trampoline, doing bounce back ability, to improve his posture and muscle tone.
Neil asked to get creative, he wanted to show his lovely mum how much he loves her 💗

What another amazing day!

Today was all about working as a team with lots of balls in sensory as we tackled controlling direction towards a target. The big trousers made an appearance too! Everyone had great fun. The tasks required lot of concentration which everyone used brilliantly. We counted, used communication and developed our aim brilliantly. Well done everyone!
