🩹🩸 On Monday, Y6 took part in some first aid training with Carmel from Red Cross. The children learned how to check for a response from a person, to check if an unresponsive person is breathing and then how to put them into the recovery position and how to perform chest compressions. They also learned how to recognise the signs that someone is choking and how to help them.
Thank you Carmel 💚

📚 School Uniform Savings 2026 👕
We’re only in June right now and September feels a long way off, but we know the cost of school uniforms can soon add up.
To help families plan ahead, make a note of some of the upcoming supermarket uniform sales and promotions. Shopping early can sometimes help spread the cost and reduce some of the stress over the summer holidays.
Please note that offers, dates and availability may vary by store.

💻 Some good advice for parents of Early Years children.
Oral language plays a vital role in children’s learning, literacy and social and emotional development.
Our latest guide supports parents and educators with practical, evidence-informed strategies to help children build school-ready language skills.
The guide explores:
• Building oral language through meaningful interaction
• Supporting listening and attention
• Growing children’s vocabulary
• Sharing stories and naming feelings
• Working with settings to spot and support language needs
• Using evidence-based approaches to meet individual needs
With language developing rapidly between the ages of two and six, early support can make a lasting difference to children’s confidence, communication and readiness for school.

Congratulations to Zenith for being chosen for our Kindness Tree! 🌳💖
Zenith showed wonderful kindness and compassion by taking the time to help a friend who was feeling lonely. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and Zenith’s thoughtful actions are a fantastic example of how we care for one another in our school community.
Well done, Zenith – we are very proud of you! 🌟👏

Last Tuesday, Year 6 visited Animate Youth Ministries in St Helens to take part in a transition day designed to help them prepare for their move to secondary school. 🌟
The children enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the day, including a music quiz, a mystery blindfolded dip, hook a duck, and a lively game of over/under. They also worked creatively to design a superhero whose special powers could help support and improve their community.
The day ended with a peaceful meditation, reminding the children that God is always with them, especially during times of change, challenge, and uncertainty.
It was a wonderful opportunity for Year 6 to reflect, have fun, and build confidence as they look ahead to the next stage of their journey. 😊🙏
