Established in 2014 Next Level Learning was aimed at ‘closing the gap’ in education. Our founding Directors identified a need for outreach tuition in the alternative provision field as students were not attending any education offered to them for several reasons. At Next Level Learning Ltd, we provide trusted, tailored 1:1, and to children and young people of all abilities and backgrounds, from to Key Stage 4 across the North West of England.

Each student we is different and, working to individual (Education and Health Care Plans) and completing our own assessments, we tailor a tuition package that's right for them in a wide variety of different settings from schools, libraries and private homes, to community and care facilities.

Next Level Learning Ltd tutors students who come from primary and , pupil referral units, and teams, behavioural support teams, individual case workers and we also receive referrals from virtual schools teams and care companies.

The long ... a time for all of our young people to relax and re-charge.

Amidst all the fun and (hopefully) sunny weather however, it's so important for them to keep their minds active and alert whilst they're away from the , as this helps them avoid the risk of .

Research consistently shows that children who fail to engage with any form of learning over the summer, can lose up to a third of what they had learned during the previous academic year.

With this in mind, we've come up with some fun ways to get them to switch off their TVs, put down their games consoles and keep their minds stimulated during the 6-week break.

From trips to museums, exhibitions and historic buildings, to going on local nature rambles and ad hoc adventures, it needn’t cost the earth to keep your children entertained… and educated this .

By taking some time and using your imagination, you can devise themed , quizzes and word searches, ask them to draw and write about what they’ve seen, or just discuss what you’ve done together each day, helping them improve their and recall skills, and develop their and .

Getting them to keep a holiday journal or writing letters to their is also an excellent way to broaden their and sharpen their composition skills.

Another way in which you can help your child avoid summer learning loss is by encouraging them to read, either with yourself, or alone.
