We work with across the North West to provide additional (both 1:1 and in small groups) to children and young people with , including Trinity Church of England High School in , amongst many others.

Our are experienced in teaching students with different barriers to learning including , challenges, and other conditions such as .

Coming from diverse and educational backgrounds, they also regularly undertake training - often delivered by our very own - and gain additional qualifications to help them further support young people with SEN and the schools and facilities they attend.

For a small, one-off fee, our SENDCo can build an Individual Delivery Plan catering to a student's specific needs, goals and targets.

We caught up with some of our leavers on at our Department for Education registered SEN and and sites across and the .

These included student, Conner Jervis, who achieved 5 in , , , and .

A budding writer and blogger - he is a Match Reporter and Media Assistant for local non-league football club Atherton Laburnum Rovers FC and has recently contributed a blog to the Salford City Council 'Skills and Work' programme - Conner has secured a place at The Manchester College to study Creative Media.

"I'm really happy with my results," said Conner on the day, "and excited for what comes next."

This year, 107 students sat their GCSEs across our schools and sites in , , , & , Salford, and the Wirral - that's almost 19% more than in 2025 - with results improving notably across our key measures.

The proportion of our young people achieving four or more GCSE grades - including those with (Social, Emotional & ) challenges - rose from 44% to 51%, with 73% achieving both English Language and Maths; an upswing of 62% on last year's figures.

"We're incredibly proud of all our students across EdStart Schools and everything they have achieved today," says our Director of Education, Kevin Buchanan. "While their individual journeys are different, what they all share is the determination and resilience they have shown in reaching this important milestone.
