Well done, Henry! 👏 Henry recently enjoyed a walk in the Peak District with his Boys' Brigade peers as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

Interested in taking part? The inclusive Duke of Edinburgh programme is open to young people aged 14–19. Weekly sessions are held every Wednesday, 7–9pm, at Holy Family School, Platt Bridge, Wigan, WN2 5JU, where participants work towards the award through fun and engaging activities.

The award includes five sections: Skills, Physical, Volunteering, Expedition and Residential, and is designed to be accessible for participants of all abilities.

A huge congratulations to Callum Hurst, who has been accepted into the AFC Fylde Academy following a series of successful trials. 👏
The fantastic news means Callum will continue his journey with Atherton Colls Juniors while also developing within the AFC Fylde Academy programme – a brilliant opportunity for a player who has worked tirelessly to improve his game.
Callum’s journey is a perfect example of what dedication, commitment and a willingness to learn can achieve. His coaches have watched him develop into a technically gifted midfielder, becoming a real leader on the pitch through his work ethic, maturity and desire to improve every single week.
This achievement is also a credit to his family, his teammates and all of the coaches who have supported him throughout his football journey.

We're delighted to announce that we have achieved the Silver School Games Mark for the 2025/26 academic year!

This is a fantastic progression from last year's Bronze Award and recognises our commitment to providing high-quality PE, physical activity and sporting opportunities for all of our learners.
