When your youngest pupil’s mum sends you this…..and says he’s asked her to send it to prove he’s loving his lessons…after weeks of us trying different ways to get him engaged…between us…mum, dad, me and of course our little hero……..(It’s a JOINT EFFORT between dedicated, loving parents and provider/teacher….It doesn’t just happen!!…) IT LITERALLY MAKES ME BURST WITH PRIDE!!! Sorry…I’ve got something in my eye again!!!!🥲🥲🥲🥲THIS is what social providers like us at PIANOS PIES AND PIROUETTES are all about…ITS NOT JUST ABOUT THE MONEY FOR US…..OR THE SOUND-BITE, OR THE PHOTO OPPORTUNITY…… PLEASE TAKE NOTE THOSE, ESPECIALLY POLITICIANS, WHO CONTROL FUNDING in this town, region, country…..🙏🙏🙏🙏

Well Saturday saw it all happening!! Here's my youngest student, aged 4; whose mum Claire and Dad, Dan, have been, bringing him for several weeks to get him used to the routine and this Saturday, he finally settled down long enough (he's usually too busy thinking of having his sausages and bacon in On The Way Coffee Shop CIC !!) to copy me playing Happy Birthday!!....Now I had to hide behind a curtain whilst he played it with his Mum's guidance, after this video was taken , and we ended up in a game of "peek-a-boo!!" ( I might try that with some of my older students, who seem to "freeze" when they play in front of me...and if I had a pound for every student who tells me they "play much better at home" (which is actually true by the way) I'd be a rich man!!)............(Of course we had Mum and Dad's Permission to post this video)

BARGAIN!!!...Sunshine House is selling ASDA CYPRIOT Halloumi at £1 for 225g….SO get down and buy some, whilst they still have it!!…If you don’t know what to do with it…the recipe below, is easy to follow and delicious….trust me!!…PS you can only buy 2 max…in 1 day........
Halloumi fries are one of the best uses for a bargain block of halloumi — very easy. Here’s a simple UK-style version using your 225g ASDA Cypriot Halloumi.

Crispy Halloumi Fries (serves 2–3)

Ingredients

* 1 × 225g block halloumi
* 3 tbsp plain flour
* 1 tsp smoked paprika (or normal paprika)
* ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
* ½ tsp black pepper
* 2–3 tbsp oil (for shallow frying)

To finish (optional but recommended):

* Squeeze of lemon
* Honey or sweet chilli sauce
* Greek yoghurt dip
* Chilli flakes
* Fresh mint

Method

1. Cut the halloumi
* Pat dry with kitchen roll.
* Cut into chunky chips (about 1–1.5cm thick).
2. Coat
* Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder and pepper.
* Toss halloumi sticks until lightly covered.
* Don’t add salt — halloumi already brings plenty!
3. Cook
Frying pan (best):
* Heat oil on medium-high.
* Fry 1–2 minutes each side until golden and crispy.
Air fryer:
* Spray with oil.
* 190°C for about 8–10 mins, turning halfway.
Oven:
* 220°C for 12–15 mins.
4. Serve immediately
* Drizzle with honey + lemon.
* Dip into yoghurt mixed with mint and garlic.

Quick fake “restaurant dip”

Mix:

* 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt
* 1 tsp mayo
* squeeze lemon
* pinch garlic powder
* black pepper
* chopped mint (if you have it)

At £1 a block, you’re looking at roughly 30–40p a portion for something that would easily be £5–£7 as a starter in a pub/restaurant. 😄
