"WE ARE HIRING"

We have some exciting news to share. We are expanding and opening a 3rd site close to Hoghton Tower (between Preston and Blackburn) to add to our fantastic settings we have in Wigan. With this in mind we have part time (Thursday & Fridays at Greenslate Farm) and full time positions (across all 3 sites) available. We are outside from 8am–5pm so you must LOVE the outdoors!

Ideally you will be a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner looking to be involved in all aspects of running a Forest School. We would also consider candidates who do not hold Level 3 FS (must be Level 2 early years practitioner or hold qualified teacher status) who would consider completing it in the future and have experience of running/attending Forest School sessions

Competitive salary (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Important qualities
-The ability to pretend to eat a mud pie and like it
-Keep smiling when it is throwing it down
-Make excellent food on a campfire
-Not afraid to get your hands dirty
-Love hide and seek!
-Lead adventure walks past a giant’s footprint, over a troll’s bridge and down a slippery mud slide
-Enjoy singing to the birds, hugging trees, and making gifts for woodland wildlife
-Love playing woodland shop, dinosaur world and be able to make a paintbrush from leaves
-Have a repertoire of voices when reading a story

Little Sticks Aspull have been collecting food donations from our families to support St Elizabeths Harvest Festival Appeal. This year St Elizabeths have been collecting in support of Lock 20 who are a charity for 16-25 yr olds who are facing homelessness. Thank you to all our families for your continued support and for helping us to support our local community.

We have had a bumper harvest at Forest School 🥒💚🧅🍅🌳 Well done to our children for nurturing their fruit and vegetables from seedlings. We can confirm it all tastes great😋

Courgettes, onions, celery, tomatoes and strawberries! The children are doing a fantastic job of taking care of their fruit and vegetables. Everything is growing beautifully! 🍓🧅🍅🥒

What another fantastic Little Sticks festival! It was a pleasure to welcome our children and their families to say goodbye and wish them well as they get ready to start school.

We will miss the children leaving us and hope that they will carry their love of the outdoors with them forever! We encourage them to keep on building dens, splashing in streams, enjoying the warmth of a campfire and to remember that being amongst the trees makes you feel great!
