Starting salary: £18,300 per annum rising to £19,300 after satisfactory completion of probation.
Hours: 0830-1630 (overtime available)

Job Description:

To plan, deliver and evaluate, specially designed sessions as part of the TSOM Group Mentoring Programme, with the aim of improving respect, discipline and confidence – resulting in achievement.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work independently with students to plan and deliver bespoke sessions utilising the training and equipment provided
• Build professional relationships with vulnerable children and young adults, that allows them to develop and unlock their potential
• Deliver timely, accurate and effective daily reports on the outcomes of sessions
• Participate and encourage students in group activities
• Communicate effectively with line managers in line with company procedures
• Adhere to all TSOM safeguarding policies
• Embody the values and standards of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

You will assist with the care of children and young people. Create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times. Previous experience of residential childcare is essential. Military experience is preferred but not essential.

Role Responsibilities:
• Work in a residential care home for 1 young person often with challenging behaviours
• Work within the staff team to ensure the service offers OFSTED standard support
• Ensure all safeguarding issues are recorded and reported
• Ensure all children feel safe and supported
• Ensure support is therapeutic and bespoke to the young person
• To deliver the best possible outcomes for the young people in your care, within a caring, homely environment
• Deliver timely, accurate and effective daily reports
• Communicate effectively with line managers in line with company procedures
• Adhere to all TSOM safeguarding policies
