Each child is given a free assessment after which a tailor-made learning programme is designed specifically to suit their needs. Lessons are 60 minutes in length and include one-to-one attention with one of our dedicated teachers; with over 40 years experience the Kip McGrath method promotes self-confidence and independence as well as securing progress. We are OFSTED registered which allows us to offer the Tax-Free Childcare scheme and accept childcare vouchers. We offer high quality maths and English tuition to children from ages 5 - 16. Including SATs and GCSE tuition,. Our tutors are fully qualified teachers. They all hold a current enhanced DBS and are fully first aid trained. At Kip McGrath Ashton-in-Makerfield, we are determined that every child should receive the individual support they need to help them be the best they can be, while ensuring that learning is fun and exciting. Wondering what actually happens at a FREE Kip McGrath assessment?

It’s much more relaxed than you might think! 😊

We start with a chat to get to know your child and understand what they’re finding difficult.

📚 Then we assess their current level in English, maths or both — looking at the skills that are appropriate for their age and ability.

🔎 We look at what they CAN do as well as identifying any areas where they may need a little extra support.

💬 Then we talk it all through with you. We explain what we’ve found, answer your questions and discuss how we could help your child move forward.

And most importantly…

❤️ THERE’S NO PRESSURE TO ENROL!

The assessment is simply an opportunity to understand where your child is now and what support, if any, might benefit them.
