Mrs Atherton is so proud of you Penelope! Year 2 have previously been looking at Grandads Island in Reading and Penelope did a little project of her own at home. 🏝️ Many Year 2s regularly complete extra challenges at home to help their learning. They show great enthusiasm for learning.

Today, Year 4 had the fantastic opportunity to cheer on Sir Kevin Sinfield as he passed through Hindley Green as part of his incredible 7 in 7 Challenge!

We had our cheers and instruments at the ready to make plenty of noise and show our support as he continued his journey towards The Brick.

💷 Money Matters! 🪙

This week, Year 4 have enjoyed taking part in our Money Matters initiative. We have been exploring different coins and notes, looking at what they are worth and how we can recognise them.

We finished the week with a game of Higher or Lower, and the children really impressed us with how quickly they could recall and compare different amounts!

Yesterday, Year 4 celebrated National Poetry Day by exploring Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen.

We looked at how he uses tone, expression, rhythm and actions before creating and performing our own take on the poem.

This week in toddler group we have been looking at pouring and filling and numbers the children used their hand and eye co-ordination and using our fine motor skills to pour and fill the rice and pasta into the containers. This was lots of fun , we also had fun building big and small towers, then knocking them down.
