Tomorrow, 5 SJR students will be heading down to Birmingham for the English Schools Swimming Association National Team Finals! The girls qualified with fantastic times in both events, and we are really looking forward to tomorrow.
No matter what happens, getting to Nationals is an incredible achievement and we know that tomorrow, these girls are going to make SJR and their clubs proud. Let’s go SJR!!

⚽️ MATCH DAY ⚽️
This afternoon the SJR Men's 1st Team Football played in a league fixture against Blackpool College.
Despite being low on numbers due to mock exams, having to call on additional players and playing our usual right back in goal, the lads played amazing and came away with a 5-2 win and another 3 points to keep them top of the league.
Now onto the big match next week 🤞🏻

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to two students from our Year 12 Sport and Exercise Science Extended Diploma programme, who today represented SJR in the North West Prelims of the British Schools Gymnastics Competition. They only went and WON!!
Holly & Mia will now go on to compete in the British Finals in May against all other u19 pairings in the UK. Absolutely fantastic!

Year 12 BTEC Sport and Exercise Science Extended Diploma students looking at the use of Technology in Sport for Performance Analysis and Data Collection • The students played a game of 5-a-side football whilst wearing our GPS vests and trackers, with some students doing notational analysis on the players• The aim, to see what information can be gained from traditional notational analysis compared to using advanced technology • This is an example of data collected using the GPS trackers •
