Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School is hosting an Open Evening this week, on Thursday 24th September for pupils from years 4, 5 and 6 and their families between 4 and 7 pm.

The Open Evening provides the perfect opportunity to look around the school, meet members of the team and student body, and take part in a range of KS3 based and extracurricular activities, to help you make decisions about your child’s next steps into secondary school.

We can’t wait to welcome all our students back to school this week!

The return to school often means a change in routine, so now is a good time to start preparing for the new term. Gradually bring back earlier bedtimes and wake-up times, limit screen time before bed and reintroduce familiar habits such as reading in the evening, preparing clothes and school bags the night before and eating breakfast at the table.

Small changes now can make those first mornings easier and help your child begin the school year feeling confident and ready to learn.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday 1st September is a Staff INSET Day.

📅 Wednesday 2nd September – Year 7 and Year 11 only should attend school at 8:35am.

📅 Thursday 3rd September – All year groups return to school at 8:35am.

We hope you’ve all had a lovely summer break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the new school year!

Here are some important dates and reminders for the start of term:

📅 Tuesday 1st September – School closed for Staff INSET Day.

📅 Wednesday 2nd September – Year 7 and Year 11 ONLY to attend school. Students should arrive at 8:35am and go to lines.

📅 Thursday 3rd September – ALL YEAR GROUPS to attend school. Students should arrive at 8:35am and should go straight to their lines.

As we begin the new school year, please remind students of our standards and expectations around:
👔 Correct school uniform
⏰ Punctuality and being on time
🎒 Bringing the correct equipment to school every day

Please also keep an eye on ClassCharts, where any further information and updates will be shared with parents/carers.

This fantastic group of students have made outstanding progress from their predicted grades. Their results are a true reflection of how hard they have worked, the determination they have shown and the belief they have had in themselves.

We are so incredibly proud of each of them. The smiles on their faces today said it all!

Their next chapter will see them heading to Cronton Sixth Form College to study a fantastic range of subjects, including A Levels, Sports, Engineering, Animal Management and Professional Music.

Emily was particularly delighted with her results, telling us how proud of herself she was after achieving an amazing 8 in Maths!

What an achievement and what a journey! Well done to all of you, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves!

GCSE Results Day 2026!

What a morning it has been! We have shared tears, smiles, excitement, nerves and some very special moments as our students received their results.

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you and have loved celebrating this special day alongside you, your families and our staff.

What a day of celebration! We are incredibly proud of our highest-achieving GCSE students, who have worked incredibly hard and achieved fantastic results.

The smiles couldn't be any bigger! After speaking with some of our students today, it was clear just how proud and happy they are with their results. Salim described his results as “unthinkable, absolutely unthinkable” a truly special moment!

Our students are now looking ahead to their next chapter, heading to Cronton Sixth Form College and to study exciting subjects including A Levels, Animal Management, Aerospace Engineering and Pharmaceutical Medicine.

We couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them. Congratulations on your incredible achievements your hard work has truly paid off!
