This week in mathematics, Reception have been been introduced to the βpart-part whole modelβ. The children have enjoyed exploring using the model, using puppets from traditional tales to help understand the concept. The parts are always LESS than the WHOLE! π

Reception have been naming different parts of an animal such as: scales, a chickenβs comb, whiskers, paws and wings! We discussed the purpose of the body parts.π¦ π π π
