The Nursery complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS). This is a government guideline which practitioners follow to make sure that we are supporting the Care Learning and Development of the young children in our care.

Our Cheshire Day Nursery is inspected by OFSTED who check that as a provider we deliver care learning and development that enhances the individual development for the children in our care.

We ensure that every child is supported individually to make progress at their own pace whilst equally supporting Children who may need extra support to for fill their full potential. Each child at the nursery is assigned a Key Person, it is their role to carry out observations to monitor the child’s area of development and learning.

The staff work alongside parents through the use of our Online service with Capture Education, this allows Key Person’s to upload their key children’s individual learning journal onto this service where parents can securely access their children’s records with their individual unique password. This is a secure system and information can be shared from Nursery and home environment.

Childcare places available at our Day Nursery, which consists of three separate age rooms, 0-2, Toddlers, and Pre-School, and a large garden area.

Highly qualified staff supervise all of the children at the nursery, with Qualifications ranging from NVQ Level 4, 3 and 2. Our apprentices are all working towards gaining a minimum Level 2 qualification.

The Pre-School Room at our Upton Day Nursery is a large spacious room that is set out into each of the 7 areas of development.

The room is based for children aged 3 – 5 years, and focuses on children’s independence. Children are encouraged to self-serve meals whilst making their own choices as well as being independent with self-care, this includes toileting, brushing of teeth.

Continuous provision takes part each day on the children’s daily routine. This allows children to make their own choice to play indoors or outdoors in all-weather conditions as waterproof clothing is provided. Each area of development is set out in the outdoor environment so all children are gaining the same development as they would, being indoors.

WHY US? The children at our Day Nursery in Cheshire are cared for by a team of Highly Qualified, enthusiastic and caring individuals. Our Nursery Manager Sue has years of experience in the childcare industry, whilst other staff qualifications range from training towards NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4.

We are very keen to ensure that all our staff has access to regular training in childcare and professional development, conducting training in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Food Hygiene and Managing Children’s Behaviour.

We recognise that it is only through a trained and motivated workforce that we can deliver the necessary commitment and care to your children, ensuring that there is a balance of age and experience amongst staff and our turnover of staff is extremely low.

Safety and security of the children within our Cheshire Day Nursery is paramount on our list of priorities.

The nursery conforms to and exceeds, the legal requirements set out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring System) being carried out upon employment.

We are an independent provider of high quality childcare. When you visit us, you will see a warm, friendly, and inviting environment with staff who are dedicated to the children in their care.

Our Day Nursery is bright and welcoming; it is situated just off a main road, in a residential area close to local schools, colleges, shops and businesses.

We are open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm.
