This week at Wickham Bishops nursery, we spent lots of time outside. With the weather being a bit warmer, the children enjoyed the ride ons and an obstacle course, expanding their gross motor skills.
Inside there was lots of sensory activities and painting to encourage fine motor skills.

At Wickham Bishops this week, the children practised their self-help skills by putting on hats, scarves, and gloves before going outside to play. Although a little chilly the children enjoyed zooming around on ride ons and running around.
The children chose their favourite toys and activities, construction, small world, and role play. There was also play dough and Christmas crafts.

We had a great week at nursery with looking at lots of different rhymes and Children In Need on Friday.
The children enjoyed all the activities and singing nursery rhymes.
On Friday, we all put on our welly boots and splashed in the puddles and had a great afternoon taking part in Children In Need games and craft. We all shared a teddy bears picnic together.

Last week at Wickham bishops nursery the children showed lots of interest in exploring the pumpkins. They used them to roll them in different ways, so see which one rolled the furthest and also to build with them. We looked at the different sizes and shapes of the pumpkins and to also explore what was inside them. Using the seeds to make potions. It was lovely to see the different ideas the children had the play and explore with the pumpkins.

This week was recycling week at nursery, so the children enjoyed taking part in lots of different activities such as playing with cardboard and plastic, talking at group time about how we can recycle and sorting different rubbish materials.
There were also lots of autumn activities, painting pumpkins, autumn crafts, and making potions and experiments.
Lots of discussions about seasons, autumn colours and comparing sizes with pumpkins, acorns and pine cones.
