in their science lectures with Danny the primary students explored Forces. They turned a paperclip into a magnet, and investigated how to change the speed at which a paper helicopter falls. They also looked at The Earth in Space, including how to model the phases of the moon and create a pocket solar system from a till roll.

Lots of work on pupils’ skill development in use of line, shade and tone through developing the trainees’ own knowledge, understanding and skills. We identified some genuine talent amongst the group which was shared with others through using the visualiser. The tutor’s expertise in demonstrating teacher modelling using the visualiser were really valuable in trainees’ development of subject-specific pedagogical understanding.
