Just Imagine Day Nursery - Station Avenue Just Imagine Day Nursery & Out of School Club is based in Wickford, next to the railway station. We are open 51 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday 7am - 7pm.

We accept 15/30 hour funding for 9mths/2yrs and 3 yr olds.

We'd like to say a BIG congratulations and well done to Abi, who has recently completed her Level 3 in childcare, with Distinction!
Abi has shown us all what hard work and determination is and even before completing her Level 3 was talking about taking on her level 5!
The knowledge you have and care you show to all the children is honestly so lovely to see! The ideas and activities you share with the children are the best and we are so lucky to have you as part of our team!

Look at what we have grown! With the help of Big Room and Toddlers we have been growing our very own vegetables and sunflowers!

In the hot hot weather the children have been making sure they watered our plants each day and checked to see if anything had grown over night.
When the children spotted the pea pots they were very excited, they carefully took them off the plant cleaned them and with Jo's help, they peeled the shell back to find the peas. They share them out with their friends who wanted to try them and all had a taste 🫛

This month we hatched our own butterflies. We had to make sure they were kept nice and warm, but didn't get too hot and had to make sure that once they had made their cocoons they were moved to lay down in the basket until they hatched.

🦖Dinosaurs🦖

We have been busy exploring dinosaurs and discussing their habitats. The children loved discovering the various textures of the dinosaur world, describing them as slimy and sticky. We incorporated differently sized eggs, colouring them in before placing them into our dinosaur world. The children also enjoyed digging in the sand for dinosaur bones.
Additionally, we created dinosaur footprints using paint and various sized dinosaur figures.
