Our Baby Room 1 Garden glow up ✨

This week, our Baby Room has had a lovely transformation! The children have been using their gross motor skills to climb and explore our new rainbow arch. They've also enjoyed learning new sounds and some single words while using Makaton with our song of the week: Old McDonald Had a Farm.

Looking ahead, next week, our babies will be planting and exploring a variety of herb plants. This will add to our beautiful space and support their senses as they discover the environment around them. 🌿

Extra curricular-Cookery

This afternoon we enjoyed making a fruit wand. We used our skills to chop different fruits before threading them onto a stick. We discussed the different colours and textures and some of us enjoyed trying all the fruits!

Preschool 1 - Book of the week : Room on the broom

This morning we enjoyed a rainy forest school session! We had our book of the week 'room on the broom' to recreate our own magical wand. We explored the use of scissors to cut up leaves, glue to stick them to our sticks and even created our own potion in a cauldron! It was lots of fun using our imagination to create with our outdoor materials. We had lots of different textures with nature, describing 'wet, slimy and cold'
To continue our book of the week , We read our story and then we sat on our mats, starting to take big breaths. Sasha showed us a range of poses, and we slowly moved into each one, having a go. We identified different shapes to different parts of the story and we had fun recalling the different ones such as the broomstick, cauldron, dog and frog.

This morning in Toddlers, we had a fantastic time making our own chalk paint! The children used their gross motor skills to break up the chalk, then added water to create a smooth mixture. We also chatted about colours and made guesses about what new colours would appear when mixed. A wonderful creative activity.

This week in the Tweenie room, our little ones have been busy exploring a range of exciting activities! They’ve enjoyed a fun yoga session and went on an adventurous bear hunt, counting paws up to 10. Additionally, the children had a great time creating their own chalk paint and working together on a vibrant summer collage. They really embraced teamwork, took turns, and practised using new words while being incredibly creative!
