This is what I want a Hushabye Hands class to feel like π
Not somewhere you have to arrive looking like youβve got motherhood completely under control.
Not somewhere you worry because your baby needs feeding halfway through.
Not somewhere you feel awkward because your toddler has decided sitting with you is absolutely NOT on todayβs agenda π
I want it to feel warm and familiar.
Small enough that we actually get to know you and your little one.
A place where you start recognising the other mums each week, where someone notices when youβve had a rough morning, and where you never need to apologise for cuddles, feeding, crying, wandering or just having one of those days.
Because yes, we do lots of lovely activities, songs, signs, sensory play and developmentβ¦
But the community around the class matters just as much to me.
If this sounds like your kind of class, Autumn bookings are now open and weβd love to welcome you π

βSome exciting news π€©β
I'm so honoured and excited to announce that I'm a finalist in the Female Business Awards π₯Ήπ
This year Hushabye Hands has been shortlisted in TWO categories:
β¨ Services to Local Communities
β¨ Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
I'm so proud to be recognised in these particular areas π₯Ή
It shows me the impact that Hushabye Hands is making - we're not just another class. We are a community that welcomes everyone, where you don't need to worry if your baby cries, your toddler is shy, if you need to breastfeed or if your little one experiences the world differently.
This is somewhere you can walk through the door and feel like you've found your village β€οΈ
We wouldn't exist without YOU - the incredible families who come through our doors and everyone who recommends, shares and and supports what we do β€οΈ
And of course we wouldn't be the same without the incredible ladies who lead our classes π
THANK YOU everyone from the bottom of my heart πππ
I can't wait to celebrate in October at the awards evening - it's always a fab night and there are some AMAZING female led businesses out there ππ»
Now do I treat myself to a new dress?! ππ

Last week was π World Breastfeeding Weekπ
Breastfeeding has become a much bigger part of my life than I ever expected, and it started with my own feeding journeys (all 3 children in some combination for a total of 8 years now!!)
Like so many mamas, I discovered quickly that feeding a baby isn't as easy as you think.
There are wobbles, lots of questions and moments where you wonder if what's happening is normal.
There are times when you need to vent, times when you need to stand up for yourself and times where you need someone to listen, reassure and support you.
My own experiences are a huge part of why I became a breastfeeding peer supporter - first I wanted people to have the positive experience I did, and then I wanted to help them overcome the same struggles I went through (feeding after a C Section, postnatal depression, cow's milk protein allergy and oversupply to make a few!)
That's why as Hushabye Hands we sponsor a free local breastfeeding community, Latch & Love, because we know how important it is for local families to have somewhere to ask questions, find reassurance and have someone to listen to them without judgment.
It's also woven directly into Hushabye Hands too - I'm so so proud that every class leader is a qualified breastfeeding peer supporter. That doesn't mean our classes are suddenly breastfeeding clinics, but you can feel reassured that when you walk into a class, however you feed your baby is considered normal.
You can breastfeed without feeling awkward.
You can ask questions if you're worried about something.
You can have a wobble.
You can talk about combination feeding, expressing, weaning or whatever else you're going through.
And you'll be met with kindness and understanding.
Because supporting parents has always been at the heart of Hushabye Hands. Not telling you what your parenting journey should look like, but making sure you don't have to navigate it feeling alone.
So this World Breastfeeding Week I'm celebrating my own breastfeeding journeys and every single one of you too - you're doing an amazing job β€οΈ

We had another super fun Sports Day today - our little ones loved getting active with football, gymnastics, volleyball and a good old egg and spoon race ππ
I can't believe we're halfway through our Summer specials already, I hope you're having as much fun as me π€©

What a super Thursday we had - it's all about Sports Day this week in sign as we practise our gross motor skills and hand eye coordination π
And we read and explored The Monkey Puzzle in Toddler Yoga - I can't believe how amazing you are with your strength and flexibility π€©
