After seven wonderful years, it's hard to imagine school without Mr David.

He has dedicated his whole career to education, and the difference he's made to countless young people, families, colleagues and the wider community is truly immeasurable. As a headteacher, he led with kindness, integrity and a genuine belief in helping every child and every member of staff to thrive.

His door was always open, nothing was ever too much trouble, and he never hesitated to offer support, guidance or encouragement. He had a rare gift for making everyone in our school feel valued.

As he begins his exciting new chapter in Pembrokeshire, we hope his days are filled with happiness, adventure, peace and plenty of laughter.

Thank you, Mr David, for everything you've given, not just as a remarkable headteacher, but as a genuinely wonderful person with a heart of gold.

One of the highlights of this half term was leading a collaborative professional learning morning at Whitley Village Primary School.

Teachers from across Cheshire joined us to:
✔ Observe mathematics lessons
✔ Explore mixed-age teaching
✔ Share classroom practice
✔ Work collaboratively to solve common challenges

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the staff and children at Whitley Village for opening your classrooms to colleagues.

Today we say a fond farewell to our super crew of Year 6 pupils - the covid crew of 2020. Their first 2 years of school were met with lockdowns, social distancing, bubbles, endless hand washing and sanitising. Despite the challenges they faced at only 4 and 5 years old, they’ve remained steadfast in their determination to become remarkable young people and yesterday’s SAT’s results were a true testament to their hard work and dedication. But, we know they are more than just a score. They are kind, thoughtful, inquisitive, engaged and engaging and they will grow up to become people who change the world for the better. Good bye and good luck Yr 6. You are all amazing!

Our Scottish dancers did an amazing job on Saturday at the White Rose Festival. As always they represented school brilliantly and danced beautifully all day long.

Congratulations to the children and staff of Whitley Village Primary School on achieving a GOLD School Games Mark. It was fantastic to hear about all the work you'd done this year which strengthens your commitment to positive experiences for your young people! Well done to all involved!
